Wa As-Samā'i Wa Aţ-Ţāriqi (Aţ-Ţāriq: 1). 086.001 By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- وَ‌السَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ وَ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍طَّ‍‍ا‌رِ‍قِ
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Aţ-Ţāriqu (Aţ-Ţāriq: 2). 086.002 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- وَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌دْ‌‍‍رَ‍‌اكَ مَا‌ ‌ال‍‍طَّ‍‍ا‌رِ‍قُ
An-Najmu Ath-Thāqibu (Aţ-Ţāriq: 3). 086.003 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍جْ‍‍مُ ‌ال‍‍ثَّا‍‍‍‍ق‍‍ِ‍‍بُ
'In Kullu Nafsin Lammā `Alayhā Ĥāfižun (Aţ-Ţāriq: 4). 086.004 There is no soul but has a protector over it. إِ‌ن‌ْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ عَلَيْهَا‌ حَافِ‍‍‍‍ظٌ
Falyanžuri Al-'Insānu Mimma Khuliqa (Aţ-Ţāriq: 5). 086.005 Now let man but think from what he is created! فَلْيَ‍‌‍ن‍‍‍‍‍ظُ‍‍رِ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانُ مِ‍‍مَّخُ‍‍لِ‍‍قَ
Khuliqa Min Mā'in Dāfiqin (Aţ-Ţāriq: 6). 086.006 He is created from a drop emitted- خُ‍‍لِ‍قَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ م‍‍َا‌ء‌‌ٍ ‌دَ‌افِ‍‍قٍ
Yakhruju Min Bayni Aş-Şulbi Wa At-Tarā'ibi (Aţ-Ţāriq: 7). 086.007 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: يَ‍‍خْ‍‍رُجُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ ‌ال‍‍صُّ‍‍لْبِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍تَّر‍َ‍‌ائِبِ
'Innahu `Alá Raj`ihi Laqādirun (Aţ-Ţāriq: 8). 086.008 Surely (God) is able to bring him back (to life)! إِنَّ‍‍هُ عَلَى ‍‍‍رَجْ‍‍عِهِ لَ‍‍قَ‍‍ا‌د‍‍ِ‍‌رٌ
Yawma Tub As-Sarā'iru (Aţ-Ţāriq: 9). 086.009 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, يَ‍‍وْمَ تُ‍‍بْ‍‍لَى‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّر‍َ‍‌ائِرُ
Famā Lahu Min Qūwatin Wa Lā Nāşirin (Aţ-Ţāriq: 10). 086.010 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. فَمَا‌ لَهُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قُ‍‍وَّةٍ ‌وَلاَ‌ نَاصِ‍‍ر‍‍ٍ‍
Wa As-Samā'i Dhāti Ar-Raj`i (Aţ-Ţāriq: 11). 086.011 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), وَ‌السَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ ذ‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍‍‍رَّجْ‍‍عِ
Wa Al-'Arđi Dhāti Aş-Şad`i (Aţ-Ţāriq: 12). 086.012 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- وَ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضِ ‌ذ‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍دْعِ
'Innahu Laqawlun Faşlun (Aţ-Ţāriq: 13). 086.013 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): إِنَّ‍‍هُ لَ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍وْلٌ فَ‍‍صْ‍‍لٌ
Wa Mā Huwa Bil-Hazli (Aţ-Ţāriq: 14). 086.014 It is not a thing for amusement. وَمَا‌ هُوَ‌ بِ‌الْهَزْلِ
'Innahum Yakīdūna Kaydāan (Aţ-Ţāriq: 15). 086.015 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ يَكِيد‍ُ‍‌ونَ كَيْد‌اً
Wa 'Akīdu Kaydāan (Aţ-Ţāriq: 16). 086.016 And I am planning a scheme. وَ‌أَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ‌ كَيْد‌اً
Famahhili Al-Kāfirīna 'Amhilhum Ruwaydāan (Aţ-Ţāriq: 17). 086.017 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). فَمَهِّلِ ‌الْكَافِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌أَمْهِلْهُمْ ‌رُ‌وَيْد‌اً
