| Waylun Likulli Humazatin Lumazahin | 104.001 Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, | وَيْل ٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَة ٍ لُمَزَة ٍ |
| Al-Ladhī Jama`a Mālāan Wa `Addadahu | 104.002 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, | الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالا ً وَعَدَّدَهُ |
| Yaĥsabu 'Anna Mālahu 'Akhladahu | 104.003 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! | يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ~ُ أَخْلَدَهُ |
| Kallā ۖ Layunbadhanna Fī Al-Ĥuţamahi | 104.004 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, | كَلاَّ ۖ لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Al-Ĥuţamahu | 104.005 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ |
| Nāru Al-Lahi Al-Mūqadahu | 104.006 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) God kindled (to a blaze), | نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ |
| Allatī Taţţali`u `Alá Al-'Af'idahi | 104.007 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: | الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الأَفْئِدَةِ |
| 'Innahā `Alayhim Mu'uşadahun | 104.008 It shall be made into a vault over them, | إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤصَدَة ٌ |
| Fī `Amadin Mumaddadahin | 104.009 In columns outstretched. | فِي عَمَد ٍ مُمَدَّدَة ٍ |
