'Idhā Ash-Shamsu Kūwirat (At-Takwīr: 1). 081.001 When the sun is overthrown, إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌ال‍‍شَّمْسُ كُوِّ‌‍‍‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā An-Nujūmu Ankadarat (At-Takwīr: 2). 081.002 And when the stars fall, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌ال‍‍نُّ‍‍ج‍‍ُ‍ومُ ‌ان‍‍كَدَ‌‍‍‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-Jibālu Suyyirat (At-Takwīr: 3). 081.003 And when the hills are moved, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْجِب‍‍َالُ سُيِّ‍‍‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-`Ishāru `Uţţilat (At-Takwīr: 4). 081.004 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْعِش‍‍َا‌رُ‌ عُ‍‍‍‍طِّ‍‍لَتْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-Wuĥūshu Ĥushirat (At-Takwīr: 5). 081.005 And when the wild beasts are herded together, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْوُح‍‍ُ‍وشُ حُشِ‍‍‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-Biĥāru Sujjirat (At-Takwīr: 6). 081.006 And when the seas rise, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْبِح‍‍َا‌رُ‌ سُجِّ‍‍‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā An-Nufūsu Zūwijat (At-Takwīr: 7). 081.007 And when souls are reunited, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌ال‍‍نُّ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍وسُ ‌زُ‌وِّجَ‍‍تْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-Maw'ūdatu Su'ilat (At-Takwīr: 8). 081.008 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْمَ‍‍وْ‌ء‍ُ‍‌و‌دَةُ سُئِلَتْ
Bi'ayyi Dhanbin Qutilat (At-Takwīr: 9). 081.009 For what sin she was slain, بِأَيِّ ‌ذَ‌نْ‍‍بٍ قُ‍‍تِلَتْ
Wa 'Idhā Aş-Şuĥufu Nushirat (At-Takwīr: 10). 081.010 And when the pages are laid open, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍صُّ‍‍حُفُ نُشِ‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā As-Samā'u Kushiţat (At-Takwīr: 11). 081.011 And when the sky is torn away, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ كُشِ‍‍‍‍‍ط‍‍َ‍‍تْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-Jaĥīmu Su``irat (At-Takwīr: 12). 081.012 And when hell is lighted, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْجَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ سُعِّ‍‍‍رَتْ
Wa 'Idhā Al-Jannatu 'Uzlifat (At-Takwīr: 13). 081.013 And when the Garden is brought nigh, وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةُ ‌أُ‌زْلِفَتْ
`Alimat Nafsun Mā 'Aĥđarat (At-Takwīr: 14). 081.014 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَ‍‍ا أَحْ‍‍‍‍ضَ‍رَتْ
Falā 'Uqsimu Bil-Khunnasi (At-Takwīr: 15). 081.015 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, فَلاَ أُ‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍سِمُ بِ‍الْ‍‍خُ‍‍نَّ‍‍سِ
Al-Jawāri Al-Kunnasi (At-Takwīr: 16). 081.016 The stars which rise and set, الْجَو‍َ‍‌ا‌رِ ‌الْكُ‍‍نَّ‍‍سِ
Wa Al-Layli 'Idhā `As`asa (At-Takwīr: 17). 081.017 And the close of night, وَ‌اللَّ‍‍يْ‍‍لِ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ عَسْعَسَ
Wa Aş-Şubĥi 'Idhā Tanaffasa (At-Takwīr: 18). 081.018 And the breath of morning وَ‌ال‍‍‍‍صُّ‍‍بْ‍‍حِ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ تَنَفَّسَ
'Innahu Laqawlu Rasūlin Karīmin (At-Takwīr: 19). 081.019 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, إِنَّ‍‍هُ لَ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍وْلُ ‌‍رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٍ كَ‍‍رِيمٍ
Dhī Qūwatin `Inda Dhī Al-`Arshi Makīnin (At-Takwīr: 20). 081.020 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, ذِي قُ‍‍وَّةٍ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَ ذِي ‌الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ
Muţā`in Thamma 'Amīnin (At-Takwīr: 21). 081.021 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; مُ‍‍طَ‍اعٍ ثَ‍‍مَّ‍ ‌أَمِينٍ
Wa Mā Şāĥibukum Bimajnūnin (At-Takwīr: 22). 081.022 And your comrade is not mad. وَمَا‌ صَ‍‍احِبُكُمْ بِمَ‍‍جْ‍‍نُونٍ
Wa Laqad Ra'āhu Bil-'Ufuqi Al-Mubīni (At-Takwīr: 23). 081.023 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْرَ‌آهُ بِ‍الأُفُ‍‍قِ ‌الْمُبِينِ
Wa Mā Huwa `Alá Al-Ghaybi Biđanīnin (At-Takwīr: 24). 081.024 And he is not avid of the Unseen. وَمَا‌ هُوَ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍غَ‍‍يْ‍‍بِ بِ‍‍ضَ‍‍نِينٍ
Wa Mā Huwa Biqawli Shayţānin Rajīmin (At-Takwīr: 25). 081.025 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. وَمَا‌ هُوَ‌ بِ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍وْلِ شَيْ‍‍طَ‍انٍ ‌‍رَجِيمٍ
Fa'ayna Tadh/habūna (At-Takwīr: 26). 081.026 Whither then go ye ? فَأَيْ‍‍نَ تَذْهَبُونَ
'In Huwa 'Illā Dhikrun Lil`ālamīna (At-Takwīr: 27). 081.027 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, إِ‌ن‌ْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْر‌ٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ
Liman Shā'a Minkum 'An Yastaqīma (At-Takwīr: 28). 081.028 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. لِمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ يَسْتَ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍يمَ
Wa Mā Tashā'ūna 'Illā 'An Yashā'a Allāhu Rabbu Al-`Ālamīna (At-Takwīr: 29). 081.029 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. وَمَا‌ تَش‍‍َا‌ء‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌إِلاَّ أَ‌ن‌ْ يَش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌‍‍‍رَبُّ ‌الْعَالَمِينَ
