'Idh ā A s-Samā 'u A n faţ ara t
When the heaven is cleft asunder. (Al-Infitar 82:1)
إِذَا ا ل سَّمَا ءُ ا ن فَطَ رَ تْ
Wa 'Idh ā A l-Kawākibu A n tath ara t
And when the stars have fallen and scattered; (Al-Infitar 82:2)
وَإِذَا ا لْكَوَاكِبُ ا ن تَثَرَ تْ
Wa 'Idh ā A l-Biĥā ru Fujjira t
And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); (Al-Infitar 82:3)
وَإِذَا ا لْبِحَا رُ فُجِّرَ تْ
Wa 'Idh ā A l-Q ubū ru Bu`th ira t
And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) (Al-Infitar 82:4)
وَإِذَا ا لْقُ بُو رُ بُعْثِرَ تْ
`Alimat Nafsun Mā Q addamat Wa 'Akh kh ra t
(Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). (Al-Infitar 82:5)
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَ دَّمَتْ وَأَخَّ رَ تْ
Yā 'Ayyuhā A l-'In sā nu Mā Gh ra ka Bira bbika A l-Kar ī mi
O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? (Al-Infitar 82:6)
يَا أَيُّهَا ا لإِن سَا نُ مَا غَ رَّ كَ بِرَ بِّكَ ا لْكَر ِيمِ
Al-Ladh ī Kh q aka Fasawwā ka Fa`adalaka
Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; (Al-Infitar 82:7)
ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ كَ فَسَوَّا كَ فَعَدَلَكَ
Fī 'Ay yi Ş ūra tin Mā Sh ā 'a Ra kkabaka
In whatever form He willed, He put you together. (Al-Infitar 82:8)
فِي أَيِّ صُ ورَ ةٍ مَا شَا ءَ رَ كَّبَ كَ
Kallā Bal Tukadh dh ibū na Bid-Dī ni
Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). (Al-Infitar 82:9)
كَلاَّ بَلْ تُكَذِّبُو نَ بِا ل دِّينِ
Wa 'Inn a `Alaykum Laĥāfižī na
But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you, (Al-Infitar 82:10)
وَإِنّ َ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِ ينَ
Kir āmāan Kātibī na
Kirāman (honourable) Kātibīn writing down (your deeds), (Al-Infitar 82:11)
كِرَ اما ً كَاتِبِينَ
Ya`lamū na Mā Taf`alū na
They know all that you do. (Al-Infitar 82:12)
يَعْلَمُو نَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
'Inn a A l-'Ab r ā ra Lafī Na`ī min
Verily, the Abrār (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); (Al-Infitar 82:13)
إِنّ َ ا لأَبْ رَ ا رَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
Wa 'Inn a A l-Fujjā ra Lafī Jaĥī min
And verily, the Fujjār (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), (Al-Infitar 82:14)
وَإِنّ َ ا لْفُجَّا رَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ
Yaş lawnahā Yaw ma A d-Dī ni
In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, (Al-Infitar 82:15)
يَصْ لَوْنَهَا يَوْ مَ ا ل دِّينِ
Wa Mā Hum `Anhā Bigh ā 'ibī na
And they (Al-Fujjār) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). (Al-Infitar 82:16)
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْ هَا بِغَ ا ئِبِينَ
Wa Mā 'Ad r ā ka Mā Yaw mu A d-Dī ni
And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? (Al-Infitar 82:17)
وَمَا أَد ْرَ ا كَ مَا يَوْ مُ ا ل دِّينِ
Th umm a Mā 'Ad r ā ka Mā Yaw mu A d-Dī ni
Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? (Al-Infitar 82:18)
ثُمّ َ مَا أَد ْرَ ا كَ مَا يَوْ مُ ا ل دِّينِ
Yaw ma Lā Tam liku Nafsun Linafsin Sh ay'ā an ۖ Wa A l-'Am ru Yawma'idh in Lill ā h
(It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allāh. (Al-Infitar 82:19)
يَوْ مَ لاَ تَمْلِكُ نَفْس ٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْ ئا ً ۖ وَا لأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ
