Yaghfir Lakum MinDhunūbikum Wa Yu'uakhkhirkum 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musammáan 'Inna 'Ajala Al-Lahi 'Idhā Jā'a Lā Yu'uakhkharu Law Kuntum Ta`lamūna
If you will do so, He will forgive you your sins and give you respite for an appointed term. The fact is that when the term given by Allah arrives, it cannot be deferred. If you could understand!”[71.4]
Wa 'Innī Kullamā Da`awtuhum Litaghfira Lahum Ja`alū 'Aşābi`ahum Fī 'Ādhānihim Wa Astaghshaw Thiyābahum Wa 'Aşarrū Wa Astakbarū Astikbārāan
Each time I called on them to seek Your pardon, they thrust their fingers in their ears and drew their cloaks over their heads, persisting in sin and puffing themselves up with insolent pride.[71.7]
Wa Allāhu Ja`ala Lakumu Al-'Arđa Bisāţāan
Allah has made the earth for you as a wide expanse[71.19]
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ بِسَاطاً
Litaslukū Minhā Subulāan Fijājāan
so that you may walk in its spacious paths."[71.20]
لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلاً فِجَاجاً
Qāla Nūĥun Rabbi 'Innahum `Aşawnī Wa Attaba`ū Man Lam Yazid/hu Māluhu Wa Waladuhu 'Illā Khasārāan
Finally, Nüh (Noah) submitted: “O Rabb! My people have disobeyed me, and followed those chiefs whose wealth and children have added to them nothing but loss.[71.21]
Wa Qālū Lā Tadharunna 'Ālihatakum Wa Lā Tadharunna Waddāan Wa Lā Suwā`āan Wa Lā Yaghūtha Wa Ya`ūqa Wa Nasrāan
and said to each other: 'Do not leave your gods; especially Wadd, Suwa, Yaghüs, Yaüq and Nasr (the names of their idols).'[71.23]
Rabbi Aghfir Lī Wa Liwālidayya Wa Liman Dakhala Baytiya Mu'umināan Wa Lilmu'uminīna Wa Al-Mu'umināti Wa Lā Tazidi Až-Žālimīna 'Illā Tabārāan
O Rabb! Forgive me, my parents and every true believer who seeks refuge in my house, and all believing men and believing women. As to the wrongdoers, grant them increase in nothing but destruction."[71.28]
