| 'Alif-Lām-Mīm | Alif Lمm M'ïm.[32.1] | أَلِف-لَام-مِيم |
| Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Lā Rayba Fīhi Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | This Book (Al-Qur'an), in which there is no doubt, is revealed by the Rabb of the worlds.[32.2] | تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِِ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| 'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu Bal Huwa Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Litundhira Qawmāan Mā 'Atāhum Min Nadhīrin Min Qablika La`allahum Yahtadūna | Do the people say: “He (Muhammad) has forged it?” Nay! It is the Truth from your Rabb, so that you may warn a people to whom no Warner has come before you: so that they may receive guidance.[32.3] | أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُُبَلْ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْماً مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Thumma Astawá `Alá Al-`Arshi Mā Lakum Min Dūnihi Min Wa Līyin Wa Lā Shafī`in 'Afalā Tatadhakkarūna | It is Allah Who has created the heavens, the earth and all that is between them in six periods, then firmly established Himself on the Throne of Authority. You have no guardian or intercessor besides Him. Will you not then take heed?[32.4] | اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ شَفِيعٍ أَفَلاَ تَتَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Yudabbiru Al-'Amra Mina As-Samā'i 'Ilá Al-'Arđi Thumma Ya`ruju 'Ilayhi Fī Yawmin Kāna Miqdāruhu 'Alfa Sanatin Mimmā Ta`uddūna | He plans all affairs from the heavens to the earth: then each affair ascends to Him (takes place) in a time period which, to your calculations, is one thousand years.[32.5] | يُدَبِّرُالأَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ~ُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ |
| Dhālika `Ālimu Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu | Such is He, the Knower of all the hidden and the open, the Almighty, the Merciful.[32.6] | ذَلِكَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
| Al-Ladhī 'Aĥsana Kulla Shay'in Khalaqahu Wa Bada'a Khalqa Al-'Insāni Min Ţīnin | It is He Who has given the best form to everything that He has created. He originated the creation of man from clay;[32.7] | الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُُوَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ الإِنسَانِ مِنْ طِينٍ |
| Thumma Ja`ala Naslahu Min Sulālatin Min Mā'in Mahīnin | then automated the creation of his progeny by an extract of a despicable water;[32.8] | ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُُمِنْ سُلاَلَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ |
| Thumma Sawwāhu Wa Nafakha Fīhi Min Rūĥihi Wa Ja`ala Lakumu As-Sam`a Wa Al-'Abşāra Wa Al-'Af'idata Qalīlāan Mā Tashkurūna | then He fashioned him in due proportion and breathed into him of His spirit. He gave you ears, eyes and heart; yet you are seldom thankful.[32.9] | ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُُوَنَفَخَ فِيهِِ مِنْ رُوحِهِِ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلاً مَا تَشْكُرُونَ |
| Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Đalalnā Fī Al-'Arđi 'A'innā Lafī Khalqin Jadīdin Bal Hum Biliqā'i Rabbihim Kāfirūna | They say: “What! Once we are lost in the earth, shall we be created afresh?” Nay! They deny the fact that they will ever meet their Rabb.[32.10] | وَقَالُوا أَئِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِي الأَرْضِ أَئِنَّا لَفِي خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ بَلْ هُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ كَافِرُونَ |
| Qul Yatawaffākum Malaku Al-Mawti Al-Ladhī Wukkila Bikum Thumma 'Ilá Rabbikum Turja`ūna | Say: “The angel of death (Izra‘il) who is assigned for you will carry off your souls and bring you back to your Rabb.”[32.11] | قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Wa Law Tará 'Idhi Al-Mujrimūna Nākisū Ru'ūsihim `Inda Rabbihim Rabbanā 'Abşarnā Wa Sami`nā Fārji`nā Na`mal Şāliĥāan 'Innā Mūqinūna | If only you could visualize when the criminals will hang their heads before their Rabb saying: “Our Rabb! We have seen and we have heard; please send us back to the world and we will do good deeds: we are now convinced."[32.12] | وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا رُءُوسِهِمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَا أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحاً إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ |
| Wa Law Shi'nā La'ātaynā Kulla Nafsin Hudāhā Wa Lakin Ĥaqqa Al-Qawlu Minnī La'amla'anna Jahannama Mina Al-Jinnati Wa An-Nāsi 'Ajma`īna | In response to that, it will be said: “Had We so willed, We could have given every soul its guidance. But My word which I had said has been fulfilled, that I shall fill hell with jinns and men all together."[32.13] | وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَآتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدَاهَا وَلَكِنْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ مِنِّي لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ |
| Fadhūqū Bimā Nasītum Liqā'a Yawmikum Hādhā 'Innā Nasīnākum Wa Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Khuldi Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna | Now taste the reward for your forgetting the meeting of this Day - We too have forgotten you now - taste the everlasting punishment in consequence of your misdeeds.”[32.14] | فَذُوقُوا بِمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا إِنَّا نَسِينَاكُمْ وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Innamā Yu'uminu Bi'āyātinā Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Dhukkirū Bihā Kharrū Sujjadāan Wa Sabbaĥū Biĥamdi Rabbihim Wa Hum Lā Yastakbirūna | Only those people believe in Our revelations, who, when they are reminded of them, prostrate themselves in adoration and celebrate the praises of their Rabb and are not puffed up with pride.[32.15] | إِنَّمَا يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهَا خَرُّوا سُجَّداً وَسَبَّحُوا بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ |
| Tatajāfá Junūbuhum `Ani Al-Mađāji`i Yad`ūna Rabbahum Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan Wa Mimmā Razaqnāhum Yunfiqūna | Who forsake their beds and invoke their Rabb with fear and hope; and they spend in charity out of the sustenance which We have given them.[32.16] | تَتَجَافَى جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ الْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفاً وَطَمَعاً وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ |
| Falā Ta`lamu Nafsun Mā 'Ukhfiya Lahum Min Qurrati 'A`yunin Jazā'an Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna | No one knows what delights of the eye have been kept hidden for them as a reward for their good deeds.[32.17] | فَلاَ تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Afaman Kāna Mu'umināan Kaman Kāna Fāsiqāan Lā Yastawūna | Can he who is a believer be like the one who is a transgressor? Of course, they are not alike.[32.18] | أَفَمَنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِناً كَمَنْ كَانَ فَاسِقاً لاَ يَسْتَوُونَ |
| 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Falahum Jannātu Al-Ma'wá Nuzulāan Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna | As for those who believe and do good deeds, they shall be awarded the gardens of paradise as a reward of their labors.[32.19] | أَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْمَأْوَى نُزُلاً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Fasaqū Fama'wāhumu An-Nāru Kullamā 'Arādū 'An Yakhrujū Minhā 'U`īdū Fīhā Wa Qīla Lahum Dhūqū `Adhāba An-Nāri Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna | But those who transgress shall be cast into the fire. Whenever they try to escape from it, they shall be pushed back into it, and it will be said to them: “Taste the punishment of the fire which you used to deny."[32.20] | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فَسَقُوا فَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Wa Lanudhīqannahum Mina Al-`Adhābi Al-'Adná Dūna Al-`Adhābi Al-'Akbari La`allahum Yarji`ūna | We shall certainly make them taste the lighter torment in this life before the greater punishment of the hereafter, so that they may return to the Right Way.[32.21] | وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الأَدْنَى دُونَ الْعَذَابِ الأَكْبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ |
| Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mimman Dhukkira Bi'āyāti Rabbihi Thumma 'A`rađa `Anhā 'Innā Mina Al-Mujrimīna Muntaqimūna | Who could be more unjust than the one who is reminded of the revelations of his Rabb and he turns away from them? Surely We shall take vengeance on such criminals.[32.22] | وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ ذُكِّرَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِِ ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا إِنَّا مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ مُنتَقِمُونَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Falā Takun Fī Miryatin Min Liqā'ihi Wa Ja`alnāhu Hudáan Libanī 'Isrā'īla | We gave the Book to Musa - so be not in doubt for receiving this Book which meets the same criteria - and We made it a guide for the Children of Israel.[32.23] | وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَلاَ تَكُنْ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْ لِقَائِهِِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُُهُدىً لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ |
| Wa Ja`alnā Minhum 'A'immatan Yahdūna Bi'amrinā Lammā Şabarū Wa Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yūqinūna | When they showed patience, We appointed from among them leaders giving guidance under Our command so long as they continued to have faith in Our revelations.[32.24] | وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ |
| 'Inna Rabbaka Huwa Yafşilu Baynahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | Surely your Rabb will decide between them, on the Day of Resurrection, concerning those matters wherein they differ among themselves.[32.25] | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| 'Awalam Yahdi Lahum Kam 'Ahlaknā Min Qablihim Mina Al-Qurūni Yamshūna Fī Masākinihim 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin 'Afalā Yasma`ūna | Do they not learn a lesson from the historical events of how many generations We have destroyed before them in whose dwelling-places they move about? Surely there are signs in this. Do they not listen?[32.26] | أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ أَفَلاَ يَسْمَعُونَ |
| 'Awalam Yaraw 'Annā Nasūqu Al-Mā'a 'Ilá Al-'Arđi Al-Juruzi Fanukhriju Bihi Zar`āan Ta'kulu Minhu 'An`āmuhum Wa 'Anfusuhum 'Afalā Yubşirūna | Do they not see how We drive the rain to the parched lands and therefrom bring forth crops of which they and their cattle eat? Have they no vision?[32.27] | أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَسُوقُ الْمَاءَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهِِ زَرْعاً تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ أَنْعَامُهُمْ وَأَنفُسُهُمْ أَفَلاَ يُبْصِرُونَ |
| Wa Yaqūlūna Matá Hādhā Al-Fatĥu 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | Still they say: “When will this judgement take place, if you are telling the truth?”[32.28] | وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْفَتْحُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Qul Yawma Al-Fatĥi Lā Yanfa`u Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Īmānuhum Wa Lā Hum Yunžarūna | Tell them: “On the Day of Judgement it will be of no benefit to the unbelievers even if they believe, since at that time they will not be granted a respite.”[32.29] | قُلْ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ لاَ يَنفَعُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِيمَانُهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنْظَرُونَ |
| Fa'a`riđ `Anhum Wa Antažir 'Innahum Muntažirūna | Therefore, pay no heed to them, and wait as they are waiting.[32.30] | فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَانْتَظِرْ إِنَّهُمْ مُنتَظِرُونَ |
