Qa‍‍d 'Aflaĥa A‍‍l-Mu'umin‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Indeed successful are those believers[23.1]قَ‍‍دْ أَفْلَحَ ‌الْمُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Al-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Fī Şalātihi‍‍m Kh‍‍ā‍‍sh‍‍i`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who are humble in their Salah (prayers),[23.2]‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ فِي صَلاَتِهِمْ خَاشِع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m `Ani A‍‍l-La‍‍gh‍‍wi Mu`‍‍r‍‍iđ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who avoid vain talk,[23.3]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ عَنِ ‌ال‍‍لَّغْوِ‌ مُعْ‍‍رِض‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Lilzzakāati Fā`il‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who are punctual in the payment of Zakah (charity),[23.4]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ لِلزَّك‍‍َاةِ فَ‍اعِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Lifurūjihi‍‍m Ĥāfiž‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who guard their private parts[23.5]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ لِفُرُ‌وجِهِمْ حَافِظ‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Illā `Al‍‍á 'Azwājihi‍‍m 'W Mā Malakat 'Aymānuhu‍‍m Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Gh‍‍ayru Malūm‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a except with their spouses or those who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blamed[23.6]‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَ‌زْ‌وَ‌اجِهِمْ ‌أ‌وْ‌ مَا‌ مَلَكَتْ ‌أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّ‍‍هُمْ غَيْرُ‌ مَلُوم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Famani A‍‍b‍‍ta‍‍gh‍‍á War‍‍ā‍‍'a Dh‍‍ālika Fa'‍‍ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Humu A‍‍l-`Ād‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - however those who seek to go beyond that in lust are the ones who shall be the transgressors[23.7]فَمَنِ ‌ابْ‍‍تَغَى وَ‌ر‍َ‌اءَ ذَلِكَ فَأ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ هُمُ ‌الْعَا‌د‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Li'mānātihi‍‍m Wa `Ahdihi‍‍m Rā`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - who are true to their trust and covenants,[23.8]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ لِأمَانَاتِهِمْ ‌وَعَهْدِهِمْ ‌رَ‌اع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m `Alá Şalawātihi‍‍m Yuĥāfiž‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and who are diligent about their Salah (prayers).[23.9]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ عَلَى‌ صَلَوَ‌اتِهِمْ يُحَافِظ‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Humu A‍‍l-Wā‍‍r‍‍i‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a These are the heirs[23.10]‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ هُمُ ‌الْوَ‌ا‌رِث‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Al-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Ya‍‍r‍‍i‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍l-Fi‍‍r‍‍dawsa Hu‍‍m Fīhā Kh‍‍ālid‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who will inherit paradise; and live therein forever.[23.11]‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَ‍‍رِث‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌الْفِرْ‌دَ‌وْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا‌ خَال‍ِ‍د‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d Kh‍‍ala‍‍q‍‍nā A‍‍l-'I‍‍n‍‍s‍‍ā‍‍na Mi‍‍n Sulālati‍‍n Mi‍‍n Ţ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in Characteristics of true believers Indeed We have created man from an essence of clay,[23.12]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ‌ خَلَ‍‍قْ‍‍نَا‌ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانَ مِ‍‌‍نْ سُلاَلَةٍ مِ‍‌‍نْ ط‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Ja`aln‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Nu‍‍ţ‍‍fata‍‍n Fī Qar‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Mak‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in then placed him as a drop of semen in a firm resting place,[23.13]ثُ‍‍مَّ جَعَلْن‍‍َاهُُنُ‍‍طْ‍‍فَةً فِي قَر‍َ‌ار‌ٍ مَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Kh‍‍ala‍‍q‍‍nā A‍‍n‍‍-Nu‍‍ţ‍‍fata `Alaqata‍‍n Fa‍‍kh‍‍ala‍‍q‍‍nā A‍‍l-`Alaqata Muđ‍‍gh‍‍ata‍‍n Fa‍‍kh‍‍ala‍‍q‍‍nā A‍‍l-Muđ‍‍gh‍‍ata `Ižāmāa‍‍n Fakasawnā A‍‍l-`Iž‍‍ā‍‍ma Laĥmāa‍‍n Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'A‍‍n‍‍sh‍‍a'n‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Kh‍‍alqāan '‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍ara Fatabāraka A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u 'Aĥsanu A‍‍l-‍‍Kh‍‍āliq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a then changed the semen into a leechlike mass, then leechlike mass into a fetus lump, then fetus lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought him forth as quite a different creature from the embryo - so blessed is Allah, the best of all creators.[23.14]ثُ‍‍مَّ خَلَ‍‍قْ‍‍نَا‌ ‌ال‍‍نُّ‍‍طْ‍‍فَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَ‍‍قْ‍‍نَا‌ ‌الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَ‍‍قْ‍‍نَا‌ ‌الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَاماً فَكَسَوْنَا‌ ‌الْعِظ‍‍َامَ لَحْماً ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍شَأْن‍‍َاهُُخَلْقاً ‌آخَرَ‌ فَتَبَا‌رَكَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ ‌أَحْسَنُ ‌الْخَالِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Ba`da Dh‍‍ālika Lamayyit‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Then after living for a while you shall all die,[23.15]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُ‍‍مْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَمَيِّت‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Yawma A‍‍l-Qiyāmati Tu‍‍b‍‍`a‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a then most surely you shall be raised to life again on the Day of Resurrection.[23.16]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُمْ يَوْمَ ‌الْقِيَامَةِ تُ‍‍بْ‍‍عَث‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d Kh‍‍ala‍‍q‍‍nā Fawqaku‍‍m Sa‍‍b‍‍`a Ţar‍‍ā‍‍'iqa Wa Mā Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā `Ani A‍‍l-‍‍Kh‍‍alqi Gh‍‍āfil‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We have made seven avenues (heavens) above you; and We are never unmindful of Our creation.[23.17]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ‌ خَلَ‍‍قْ‍‍نَا‌ فَوْقَكُمْ سَ‍‍بْ‍‍عَ طَرَ‌ائِقَ ‌وَمَا‌ كُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ عَنِ ‌الْخَلْقِ غَافِل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍zalnā Mina A‍‍s-Sam‍‍ā‍‍'i M‍‍ā‍‍'a‍n‍ Biqada‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Fa'aska‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍hu Fī A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā `Alá Dh‍‍ah‍‍ā‍‍bi‍n‍ Bih‍‍i Laqādir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We send down water from the sky according to a due measure, then We cause it to settle in the soil - you should know that if We please, We can certainly take it away[23.18]‌وَ‌أَ‌ن‍‍زَلْنَا‌ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ م‍‍َا‌ءً بِقَدَ‌ر‌‌ٍ فَأَسْكَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاهُُفِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ عَلَى ذَه‍‍َابٍ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ لَقَا‌دِ‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Fa'a‍‍n‍‍sh‍‍a'nā Laku‍‍m Bih‍‍i Ja‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍ti‍‍n Mi‍‍n Na‍‍kh‍‍ī‍‍li‍‍n Wa 'A`n‍‍ā‍‍bi‍‍n Laku‍‍m Fīhā Fawākih‍‍u Ka‍‍th‍‍īratu‍‍n Wa Minhā Ta'kul‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - then with it We cause to grow gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; yielding abundant fruit for you to eat,[23.19]فَأَ‌ن‍‍شَأْنَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ جَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاتٍ مِ‍‍نْ نَخ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٍ ‌وَ‌أَعْن‍‍َاب‌ٍ لَكُمْ فِيهَا‌ فَوَ‌اكِهُُكَثِيرَةٌ ‌وَمِنْهَا‌ تَأْكُل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Sh‍‍ajarata‍‍n Ta‍‍kh‍‍ruju Mi‍‍n Ţ‍‍ū‍‍r‍‍i Sayn‍‍ā‍‍'a Ta‍n‍‍butu Bid-Duhni Wa Şi‍‍b‍‍gh‍‍i‍‍n Lil'‍‍ā‍‍kil‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and also a tree which grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish as a food for those who like to eat it.[23.20]‌وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِ‍‌‍نْ ط‍‍ُ‍و‌رِ سَيْن‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ تَ‍‍نْ‍‍بُتُ بِ‍ال‍‍دُّهْنِ ‌وَصِ‍‍بْ‍‍غ‌ٍ لِلآكِل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Laku‍‍m A‍‍l-'An`‍‍ā‍‍mi La`i‍‍b‍‍rata‍‍n Nusqīku‍‍m Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Fī Buţūnihā Wa Laku‍‍m Fīhā Manāfi`u Ka‍‍th‍‍īratu‍‍n Wa Minhā Ta'kul‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a In cattle, too, there is a lesson for you: from within their bodies We produce milk for you to drink, besides this you gain numerous other benefits; some of them you eat,[23.21]‌وَ‌إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي ‌الأَنع‍‍َامِ لَعِ‍‍بْ‍‍رَةً نُسقِيكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا‌ مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ ‌وَمِنْهَا‌ تَأْكُل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa `Alayhā Wa `Alá A‍‍l-Fulki Tuĥmal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a yet on others as well as on ships you ride.[23.22]‌وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى‌ ‌الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmih‍‍i Faq‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi A‍‍`budū A‍‍l-Laha Mā Laku‍‍m Min 'Ilahin Gh‍‍ayruh‍‍u 'Afalā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We sent Nüh (Noah) to his people. He said, “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no other god but Him, are you not afraid of Him for committing shirk?”[23.23]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ نُوحاً ‌إِلَى‌ قَوْمِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَق‍‍َالَ يَاقَوْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ مَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِلَهٍ‍ٍ‍‌ غَيْرُهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Faq‍‍ā‍‍la A‍‍l-Mala'u A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Kafarū Mi‍‍n Qawmihi Mā Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'Illā Ba‍‍sh‍‍aru‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍luku‍‍m Yu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍du 'A‍‍n Yatafađđala `Alayku‍‍m Wa Law Sh‍‍ā‍‍'a A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u La'a‍‍n‍‍zala Mal‍‍ā‍‍'ikata‍‍n Mā Sami`nā Biha‍‍dh‍‍ā F‍‍ī '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'inā A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a The chiefs of the unbelievers among his people said, “Nüh is but a human like you, he desires to assert his superiority over you. If Allah wanted to send Rasools, He could have sent down angels, we have never heard such a thing as he says from our forefathers.”[23.24]فَق‍‍َالَ ‌الْمَلَأُ‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا مِ‍‌‍نْ قَوْمِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مَا‌ هَذَ‌ا إِلاَّ‌ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ أَنْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ ‌وَلَوْ‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ لَأَ‌ن‍‍زَلَ مَلاَئِكَةً مَا‌ سَمِعْنَا‌ بِهَذَ‌ا‌ فِ‍‍ي ‌آبَائِنَا‌ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulu‍n‍ Bih‍‍i Ji‍‍nn‍‍atu‍‍n Fatarabbaşū Bihi Ĥattá Ĥ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in Some of them said: “He is just a madman, so bear with him for a while.”[23.25]‌إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ رَجُل‌‍ٌ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ جِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ حَتَّى‌ ح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi A‍‍n‍‍şurnī Bimā Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i Nüh said, “O my Rabb! Help me against their calling me a liar.”[23.26]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌ان‍‍صُرْنِي بِمَا‌ كَذَّب‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Fa'awĥayn‍‍ā 'Ilayhi 'Ani A‍‍şna`i A‍‍l-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Fa'i‍‍dh‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍runā Wa F‍‍ā‍‍ra A‍‍t-Ta‍‍nn‍‍ū‍‍ru Fāsluk Fīhā Mi‍‍n Kulli‍‍n Zawjayni A‍‍th‍‍nayni Wa 'Ahlaka 'Illā Ma‍‍n Sabaqa `Alayhi A‍‍l-Qawlu Minhu‍‍m Wa Lā Tu‍‍kh‍‍āţi‍‍b‍‍nī Fī A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalam‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Mu‍‍gh‍‍raq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a So We revealed Our will to him, saying: “Build an ark under our supervision according to Our instructions; and when Our judgement comes to pass and water wells out from 'At-Tannur', take aboard a pair (a male and a female) from every species and take your family, except those of them against whom the judgement has already been passed; and do not plead with Me in favor of the wrongdoers, for they are doomed to be drowned in the flood.[23.27]فَأَ‌وْحَيْنَ‍ا إِلَيْهِ ‌أَنِ ‌اصْنَعِ ‌الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَ‌وَحْيِنَا‌ فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا وَف‍‍َا‌رَ ‌ال‍‍تَّ‍‍نّ‍‍ُ‍و‌رُ‌ فَ‍اسْلُكْ فِيهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ كُلٍّ ‌زَ‌وْجَيْنِ ‌اثْنَيْنِ ‌وَ‌أَهْلَكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍نْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ‌الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تُخَاطِ‍‍بْ‍‍نِي فِي ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ‍‍مْ مُغْرَق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'i‍‍dh‍‍ā A‍‍stawayta 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Wa Ma‍‍n Ma`aka `Alá A‍‍l-Fulki Faquli A‍‍l-Ĥa‍‍m‍‍du Lillahi A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Najjānā Mina A‍‍l-Qawmi A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Then when you have embarked on the ark with your companions, say: “Praise be to Allah Who has delivered us from the nation of wrongdoers,”[23.28]فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ‌اسْتَوَيْتَ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌وَمَ‍‍نْ مَعَكَ عَلَى‌ ‌الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ ‌الْحَمْدُ‌ لِلَّهِ ‌الَّذِي نَجَّانَا‌ مِنَ ‌الْقَوْمِ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Qu‍‍l Rabbi 'A‍‍n‍‍zilnī Mu‍‍n‍‍zalāa‍‍n Mubārakāa‍‍n Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Kh‍‍ayru A‍‍l-Mu‍‍n‍‍zil‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a and pray, “O my Rabb! Bless my landing from this Ark, for You are the best to make my landing safe.”[23.29]‌وَقُلْ ‌رَبِّ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍زِلْنِي مُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍زَلاً مُبَا‌رَكاً ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ خَيْرُ‌ ‌الْمُ‍‌‍ن‍‍زِل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍y‍‍ā‍‍ti‍‍n Wa 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā Lamu‍‍b‍‍tal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a There are many lessons in this story, and surely We do test people.[23.30]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآي‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ لَمُ‍‍بْ‍‍تَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'A‍‍n‍‍sh‍‍a'nā Mi‍n‍ Ba`dihi‍‍m Qarnāan '‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Then We raised after them a new generation (the people of ‘Ad),[23.31]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍شَأْنَا‌ مِ‍‍نْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْ‌ن‍اً ‌آخَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'arsalnā Fīhi‍‍m Rasūlāa‍‍n Minhu‍‍m 'Ani A‍‍`budū A‍‍l-Laha Mā Laku‍‍m Min 'Ilahin Gh‍‍ayruh‍‍u 'Afalā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and sent to them a Rasool (Hüd) from among themselves, who said to them: “Worship Allah! You have no other god except Him. Will you not fear Him for committing shirk?”[23.32]فَأَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ فِيهِمْ ‌رَسُولاً مِنْهُمْ ‌أَنِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ مَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِلَهٍ‍ٍ‍‌ غَيْرُهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Q‍‍ā‍‍la A‍‍l-Mala'u Mi‍‍n Qawmihi A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Kafarū Wa Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍abū Biliq‍‍ā‍‍'i A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍irati Wa 'Atrafnāhu‍‍m A‍‍l-Ĥayāati A‍‍d-Du‍‍n‍‍yā Mā Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'Illā Ba‍‍sh‍‍aru‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍luku‍‍m Ya'kulu Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Ta'kul‍‍ū‍‍na Minhu Wa Ya‍‍sh‍‍rabu Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Ta‍‍sh‍‍rab‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a But the chiefs of his people - who disbelieved the message and denied the life in the hereafter, - on whom We had bestowed affluence in this worldly life, said: “This person is but a human like you; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink.[23.33]‌وَق‍‍َالَ ‌الْمَلَأُ‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَوْمِهِ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِق‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌الآخِرَةِ ‌وَ‌أَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي ‌الْحَي‍‍َاةِ ‌ال‍‍دُّنْ‍‍يَا‌ مَا‌ هَذَ‌ا إِلاَّ‌ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَأْكُل‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنْهُ ‌وَيَشْرَبُ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَشْرَب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa La'in 'Aţa`tu‍‍m Ba‍‍sh‍‍arāa‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍laku‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m 'I‍‍dh‍‍āa‍‍n La‍‍kh‍‍āsir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a If you obey a human like yourselves, you shall indeed be lost.[23.34]‌وَلَئِنْ ‌أَطَعْتُ‍‍مْ بَشَر‌اً مِثْلَكُمْ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُمْ ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً لَخَاسِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'Aya`iduku‍‍m 'A‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā Mittu‍‍m Wa Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Turābāa‍‍n Wa `Ižāmāan 'A‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Mu‍‍kh‍‍raj‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a What! Does he claim that when you are dead and turned into dust and bones, you will be brought to life out of your graves?[23.35]‌أَيَعِدُكُمْ ‌أَنَّ‍‍كُمْ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ مِتُّمْ ‌وَكُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تُرَ‌اباً ‌وَعِظَاماً أَنَّ‍‍كُ‍‍مْ مُخْرَج‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Hayh‍‍ā‍‍ta Hayh‍‍ā‍‍ta Limā Tū`ad‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Impossible! Just impossible is that with which you are being threatened![23.36]هَيْه‍‍َاتَ هَيْه‍‍َاتَ لِمَا‌ تُوعَد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'In Hiya 'Illā Ĥayātunā A‍‍d-Du‍‍n‍‍yā Nam‍‍ū‍‍tu Wa Naĥyā Wa Mā Naĥnu Bima‍‍b‍‍`ū‍‍th‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a There is no other life but our life of this world: we live here and die here, and shall never be raised to life again.[23.37]‌إِنْ هِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ حَيَاتُنَا‌ ‌ال‍‍دُّنْ‍‍يَا‌ نَم‍‍ُ‍وتُ ‌وَنَحْيَا وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ بِمَ‍‍بْ‍‍عُوث‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulun A‍‍ftará `Alá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Ka‍‍dh‍‍ibāa‍‍n Wa Mā Naĥnu Lah‍‍u Bimu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a This man is but an impostor, forging a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.”[23.38]‌إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ ‌افْتَرَ‌ى‌ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ كَذِباً ‌وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ لَهُُبِمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi A‍‍n‍‍şurnī Bimā Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i At this the Rasool prayed: “O my Rabb! Help me against their calling me a liar.”[23.39]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌ان‍‍صُرْنِي بِمَا‌ كَذَّب‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la `A‍‍mm‍‍ā Qal‍‍ī‍‍li‍‍n Layuşbiĥu‍‍nn‍‍a Nādim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Allah responded: “After a short time they will surely be sorry.”[23.40]ق‍‍َالَ عَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ قَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ل‌ٍ لَيُصْبِحُ‍‍نَّ نَا‌دِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'a‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍at/humu A‍‍ş-Şayĥatu Bil-Ĥaqqi Faja`alnāhu‍‍m Gh‍‍u‍‍th‍‍ā‍‍'a‍‍n Fabu`dāa‍‍n Lilqawmi A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a So the Blast overtook them in all justice and We swept them away like the rubbish of dead leaves - so gone is the nation of wrongdoers.[23.41]فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ‌ال‍‍صَّيْحَةُ بِ‍الْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُث‍‍َا‌ءً فَبُعْد‌اً لِلْقَوْمِ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'A‍‍n‍‍sh‍‍a'nā Mi‍n‍ Ba`dihi‍‍m Qurūnāan '‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a After them We raised other generations[23.42]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍شَأْنَا‌ مِ‍‍نْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُ‌و‌ن‍اً ‌آخَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Mā Tasbiqu Min 'U‍‍mm‍‍atin 'Ajalahā Wa Mā Yasta'‍‍kh‍‍ir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - no people can hasten their term nor can they postpone it[23.43]مَا‌ تَسْبِقُ مِنْ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ ‌أَجَلَهَا وَمَا‌ يَسْتَأْخِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'Arsalnā Rusulanā Tatrā Kulla Mā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'U‍‍mm‍‍ata‍‍n Rasūluhā Ka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ab‍‍ū‍‍h‍‍u Fa'atba`nā Ba`đahu‍‍m Ba`đāa‍‍n Wa Ja`alnāhu‍‍m 'Aĥādī‍‍th‍‍a Fabu`dāa‍‍n Liqawmi‍‍n Lā Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - and sent forth Our Rasools one after another: every time a Rasool came to his people, they disbelieved him, so We punished them one by one and made them a part of history; so gone is the nation of disbelievers.[23.44]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَ‌رْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا‌ تَتْرَ‌ا‌ كُلَّ مَا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أُمَّ‍‍ة ً ‌رَسُولُهَا‌ كَذَّب‍‍ُ‍وهُُفَأَتْبَعْنَا‌ بَعْضَهُ‍‍مْ بَعْضاً ‌وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ ‌أَحَا‌د‍ِ‍ي‍‍ثَ فَبُعْد‌اً لِقَوْم‌ٍ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a 'Arsalnā Mūsá Wa 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍hu Hār‍‍ū‍‍na Bi'‍‍ā‍‍yātinā Wa Sulţ‍‍ā‍‍ni‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in Then We sent Musa (Moses) and his brother Haroon (Aaron) with Our signs and clear authority,[23.45]ثُ‍‍مَّ ‌أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ مُوسَى وَ‌أَخ‍‍َاهُُهَا‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْط‍‍َانٍ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
'Ilá Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna Wa Mala'ihi Fāstakbarū Wa Kānū Qawmāan `Āl‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a to Fir'on (Pharaoh) and his chiefs: but they received them with arrogance for they were very haughty people.[23.46]‌إِلَى‌ فِرْعَوْنَ ‌وَمَلَئِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَ‍اسْتَكْبَرُ‌وا ‌وَكَانُوا قَوْماً‌ عَال‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Faqāl‍‍ū 'Anu'uminu Liba‍‍sh‍‍arayni Mi‍‍th‍‍linā Wa Qawmuhumā Lanā `Ābid‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They said: “What! Should we believe in two human beings like ourselves, and whose people are our slaves?”[23.47]فَقَالُ‍‍وا ‌أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا‌ لَنَا‌ عَابِد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Faka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍abūhumā Fakānū Mina A‍‍l-Muhlak‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a So they disbelieved both of them and became among those who were destroyed.[23.48]فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا‌ فَكَانُوا مِنَ ‌الْمُهْلَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d '‍‍Ā‍‍taynā Mūsá A‍‍l-Kit‍‍ā‍‍ba La`allahu‍‍m Yahtad‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a And We gave Musa the Book, so that his people might be rightly guided.[23.49]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ آتَيْنَا‌ مُوسَى‌ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Ja`alnā A‍‍b‍‍na Maryama Wa 'U‍‍mm‍‍ahu '‍‍Ā‍‍yata‍‍n Wa '‍‍Ā‍‍waynāhum‍‍ā 'Ilá Ra‍‍b‍‍wati‍‍n Dh‍‍ā‍‍ti Qar‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Wa Ma`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in And We made the son of Maryam (Jesus) and his mother a sign for mankind, and gave them a shelter on a peaceful lofty ground, furnished with a fresh spring.[23.50]‌وَجَعَلْنَا‌ ‌ابْ‍‍نَ مَرْيَمَ ‌وَ‌أُمَّ‍‍هُ ‌آيَةً ‌وَ‌آ‌وَيْنَاهُمَ‍ا إِلَى رَبْ‍‍وَةٍ ‌ذ‍َ‍‌اتِ قَر‍َ‌ار‌ٍ ‌وَمَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
Y‍‍ā 'Ayyuhā A‍‍r-Rusulu Kulū Mina A‍‍ţ‍‍-Ţayyib‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa A‍‍`malū Şāliĥāan 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Bimā Ta`mal‍‍ū‍‍na `Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍un O Rasools! Eat of pure things and do good deeds, certainly I have knowledge of all your actions.[23.51]يَ‍ا أَيُّهَا‌ ‌ال‍‍رُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ ‌ال‍‍طَّيِّب‍‍َاتِ ‌وَ‌اعْمَلُوا صَالِ‍‍حاً ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي بِمَا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ عَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Ha‍‍dh‍‍ih‍‍i 'U‍‍mm‍‍atuku‍‍m 'U‍‍mm‍‍ata‍‍n Wāĥidata‍‍n Wa 'Anā Rabbuku‍‍m Fa A‍‍ttaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i In fact, your religion is one religion, and I am your only Rabb: so fear Me Alone.[23.52]‌وَ‌إِنَّ هَذِهِ ‌أُمَّ‍‍تُكُمْ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةً ‌وَ‌احِدَةً ‌وَ‌أَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَ‍اتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونِ
Fataqaţţa`‍‍ū 'A‍‍m‍‍rahu‍‍m Baynahu‍‍m Zuburāa‍‍n Kullu Ĥizbi‍n‍ Bimā Ladayhi‍‍m Fa‍‍r‍‍iĥ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Yet people have divided themselves into factions and each faction rejoices in its own doctrines[23.53]فَتَقَطَّعُ‍‍وا ‌أَمْرَهُ‍‍مْ بَيْنَهُمْ ‌زُبُر‌اً كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا‌ لَدَيْهِمْ فَ‍‍رِح‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa‍‍dh‍‍arhu‍‍mGh‍‍a‍‍m‍‍ratihi‍‍m Ĥattá Ĥ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in - well! Leave them in their heedlessness for an appointed time.[23.54]فَذَ‌رْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّى‌ ح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
'Ayaĥsab‍‍ū‍‍na 'A‍‍nn‍‍amā Numidduhu‍‍m Bih‍‍i Mi‍‍n M‍‍ā‍‍li‍‍n Wa Ban‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Do they think that, in giving them wealth and children,[23.55]‌أَيَحْسَب‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌أَنَّ‍‍مَا‌ نُمِدُّهُ‍‍مْ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مِ‍‍نْ م‍‍َالٍ ‌وَبَن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Nusā‍‍r‍‍i`u Lahu‍‍m A‍‍l-‍‍Kh‍‍ayr‍‍ā‍‍ti Ba‍‍l Lā Ya‍‍sh‍‍`ur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We are eager for their welfare? By no means! They do not understand the reality of the matter.[23.56]نُسَا‌رِعُ لَهُمْ فِي ‌الْخَيْر‍َ‍‌اتِ بَ‍‍ل لاَ‌ يَشْعُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Min Kh‍‍a‍‍sh‍‍yati Rabbihi‍‍m Mu‍‍sh‍‍fiq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Surely those who live cautiously for fear of their Rabb,[23.57]‌إِنَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُ‍‍مْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ ‌رَبِّهِ‍‍مْ مُشْفِق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Bi'‍‍ā‍‍y‍‍ā‍‍ti Rabbihi‍‍m Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who believe in the revelations of their Rabb;[23.58]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُ‍‍مْ بِآي‍‍َاتِ ‌رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m Birabbihi‍‍m Lā Yu‍‍sh‍‍r‍‍ik‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who do not commit shirk with their Rabb,[23.59]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُ‍‍مْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لاَ‌ يُشْ‍‍رِك‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Yu'ut‍‍ū‍‍na M‍‍ā '‍‍Ā‍‍taw Wa Qulūbuhu‍‍m Wa Jilatun 'A‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m 'Ilá Rabbihi‍‍m Rāji`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who give to charity whatever they can give, and their hearts are full of fear by the very idea that they shall have to return to their Rabb,[23.60]‌و‍َ‍‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يُؤْت‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَ‍ا آتَو‌ا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ ‌وَجِلَةٌ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ ‌رَ‌اجِع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Yusā‍‍r‍‍i`‍‍ū‍‍na Fī A‍‍l-‍‍Kh‍‍ayr‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa Hu‍‍m Lahā Sābiq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a it is they who rush in doing good deeds and try to be the first in attaining them.[23.61]‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ يُسَا‌رِع‍‍ُ‍ونَ فِي ‌الْخَيْر‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَهُمْ لَهَا‌ سَابِق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Lā Nukallifu Nafsāan 'Illā Wus`ahā Wa Ladaynā Kit‍‍ā‍‍bu‍‍n Ya‍‍n‍‍ţiqu Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Hu‍‍m Lā Yužlamūn We charge no soul with more than it can bear; We have a Book of record which shall clearly tell the truth, and they shall not be treated unjustly.[23.62]‌وَلاَ‌ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْساً ‌إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا‌ كِت‍‍َابٌ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍طِقُ بِ‍الْحَقِّ ‌وَهُمْ لاَ‌ يُظْلَمُو‌ن
Bal Qulūbuhu‍‍mGh‍‍a‍‍m‍‍rati‍‍n Min Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā Wa Lahu‍‍m 'A`m‍‍ā‍‍lu‍‍n Mi‍‍n D‍‍ū‍‍ni Dh‍‍ālika Hu‍‍m Lahā `Āmil‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a But their hearts are blind to all this; and their deeds are also different from the believers. They will continue doing their misdeeds[23.63]بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ هَذَ‌ا وَلَهُمْ ‌أَعْم‍‍َالٌ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌ذَلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا‌ عَامِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Ĥatt‍‍á 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā 'A‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍nā Mutrafīhi‍‍m Bil-`A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bi 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā Hu‍‍m Ya‍‍j‍‍'ar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a until when We seize those of them who live in comfort with punishment; lo! Then they start crying for help in supplication.[23.64]حَتَّ‍‍ى إِ‌ذَ‌ا أَخَذْنَا‌ مُتْرَفِيهِ‍‍مْ بِ‍الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابِ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هُمْ يَ‍‍جْ‍‍أَ‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Lā Ta‍‍j‍‍'arū A‍‍l-Yawma 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Lā Tu‍‍n‍‍şar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We shall say: “Do not cry for help this Day, for surely from Us you shall receive no help.[23.65]لاَ‌ تَ‍‍جْ‍‍أَ‌رُ‌وا ‌الْيَوْمَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ لاَ‌ تُ‍‌‍ن‍‍صَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Qa‍‍d Kānat '‍‍Ā‍‍yātī Tutlá `Alayku‍‍m Faku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m `Al‍‍á 'A`qābiku‍‍m Ta‍‍n‍‍kiş‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a My revelations were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels[23.66]قَ‍‍دْ‌ كَ‍انَتْ ‌آيَاتِي تُتْلَى‌ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ عَلَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَ‍‌‍ن‍‍كِص‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Mustakbi‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍na Bihi Sāmirāa‍‍n Tahjur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a in arrogance, talking nonsense about The Qur’an like one telling fables by night.[23.67]مُسْتَكْبِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ سَامِر‌اً تَهْجُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'Afala‍‍m Yaddabbarū A‍‍l-Qawla 'A‍‍m J‍‍ā‍‍'ahu‍‍m Mā La‍‍m Ya'ti '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'ahumu A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Do they not ponder over the Word of Allah or has anything new come to them which did not come to their forefathers?[23.68]‌أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُ‌وا ‌الْقَوْلَ ‌أَمْ جَا‌ءَهُ‍‍مْ مَا‌ لَمْ يَأْتِ ‌آبَا‌ءَهُمُ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'A‍‍m La‍‍m Ya`‍‍r‍‍ifū Rasūlahu‍‍m Fahu‍‍m Lah‍‍u Mu‍‍n‍‍kir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Or is it because they do not recognize their Rasool, who is a member of their own community, that they deny him?[23.69]‌أَمْ لَمْ يَعْ‍‍رِفُوا ‌رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُُمُ‍‌‍ن‍‍كِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'A‍‍m Yaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na Bih‍‍i Ji‍‍nn‍‍atu‍n‍ Bal J‍‍ā‍‍'ahu‍‍m Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ak‍‍th‍‍aruhu‍‍m Lilĥaqqi Kā‍‍r‍‍ih‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Or are they really convinced that he is a madman? Nay! In fact he has brought them the Truth and most of them dislike the Truth.[23.70]‌أَمْ يَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ جِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ة‌‍ٌ بَلْ جَا‌ءَهُ‍‍مْ بِ‍الْحَقِّ ‌وَ‌أَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَ‍ا‌رِه‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Lawi A‍‍ttaba`a A‍‍l-Ĥaqqu 'Ahw‍‍ā‍‍'ahu‍‍m Lafasadati A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍tu Wa A‍‍l-'Arđu Wa Ma‍‍n Fīhi‍‍nn‍‍a Bal 'Ataynāhu‍‍m Bi‍‍dh‍‍ik‍‍r‍‍ihi‍‍m Fahu‍‍m `A‍‍n Dh‍‍ik‍‍r‍‍ihi‍‍m Mu`‍‍r‍‍iđ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - Had the Truth followed their appetites, the heavens, the earth and everything therein would have been disrupted. Nay! We have given them their reminder, but they are heedless to their reminder.[23.71]‌وَلَوِ‌ ‌اتَّبَعَ ‌الْحَقُّ ‌أَهْوَ‌ا‌ءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتُ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضُ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍نْ فِيهِ‍‍نَّ بَلْ ‌أَتَيْنَاهُ‍‍مْ بِذِكْ‍‍رِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَ‍‌‍نْ ‌ذِكْ‍‍رِهِ‍‍مْ مُعْ‍‍رِض‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'A‍‍m Tas'aluhu‍‍m Kh‍‍arjāa‍‍n Fa‍‍kh‍‍ar‍‍ā‍‍ju Rabbika Kh‍‍ayru‍‍n Wa Huwa Kh‍‍ayru A‍‍r-Rāziq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Or is it that you are asking them for some recompense? But the recompense of your Rabb is the best, for He is the best provider of sustenance.[23.72]‌أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجاً فَخَر‍َ‍‌اجُ ‌رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ‌وَهُوَ‌ خَيْرُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّ‌ا‌زِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍aka Lata‍‍d‍‍`ūhu‍‍m 'Ilá Şirāţi‍‍n Mustaq‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in As a matter of fact, you (O Muhammad) are calling them to the Straight Way;[23.73]‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍كَ لَتَ‍‍دْعُوهُمْ ‌إِلَى‌ صِر‍َ‍‌اطٍ مُسْتَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Lā Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍na Bil-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍irati `Ani A‍‍ş-Şir‍‍ā‍‍ţi Lanākib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a and surely those who do not believe in the hereafter will ever stray from the Straight Way.[23.74]‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِ‍الآخِرَةِ عَنِ ‌ال‍‍صِّر‍َ‍‌اطِ لَنَاكِب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Law Raĥi‍‍m‍‍nāhu‍‍m Wa Ka‍‍sh‍‍afnā Mā Bihi‍‍m Mi‍‍n Đur‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Lalajjū Fī Ţu‍‍gh‍‍yānihi‍‍m Ya`mah‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a If We show them mercy and relieve them of their affliction, they would obstinately persist in their rebellion, blindly wandering to and fro;[23.75]‌وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ ‌وَكَشَفْنَا‌ مَا‌ بِهِ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ضُرّ‌ٍ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَه‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d 'A‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍nāhu‍‍m Bil-`A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bi Famā A‍‍stakānū Lirabbihi‍‍m Wa Mā Yatađarra`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a for even now, when We have inflicted punishment on them, they have neither submitted to their Rabb nor humbled themselves towards Him.[23.76]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ أَخَذْنَاهُ‍‍مْ بِ‍الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابِ فَمَا‌ ‌اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ ‌وَمَا‌ يَتَضَرَّع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Ĥatt‍‍á 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā Fataĥnā `Alayhi‍‍m Bābāa‍‍n Dh‍‍ā `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bi‍‍n Sh‍‍ad‍‍ī‍‍din 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā Hu‍‍m F‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i Mu‍‍b‍‍lis‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Until when We open upon them a gate of severe punishment, you will see that they are plunged in utter despair.[23.77]حَتَّ‍‍ى إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ فَتَحْنَا‌ عَلَيْهِ‍‍مْ بَاباً ‌ذَ‌ا‌ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٍ شَد‍ِ‍ي‍‍د‌‌ٍ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هُمْ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍‌ مُ‍‍بْ‍‍لِس‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Huwa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī 'A‍‍n‍‍sh‍‍a'a Lakumu A‍‍s-Sa‍‍m‍‍`a Wa A‍‍l-'A‍‍b‍‍ş‍‍ā‍‍ra Wa A‍‍l-'Af'idata Qalīlāa‍‍n Mā Ta‍‍sh‍‍kur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a It is Allah Who has given you ears, eyes and hearts - yet seldom you show gratitude[23.78]‌وَهُوَ ‌الَّذِي ‌أَ‌ن‍‍شَأَ‌ لَكُمُ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعَ ‌وَ‌الأَبْ‍‍ص‍‍َا‌رَ وَ‌الأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلاً مَا‌ تَشْكُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Huwa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Dh‍‍ara'aku‍‍m A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa 'Ilayhi Tuĥ‍‍sh‍‍ar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a - it is He Who has placed you in the earth and before Him you shall all be assembled on the Day of Judgement.[23.79]‌وَهُوَ ‌الَّذِي ‌ذَ‌رَ‌أَكُمْ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَ‌إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Huwa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Yuĥyī Wa Yum‍‍ī‍‍tu Wa Lahu A‍‍kh‍‍til‍‍ā‍‍fu A‍‍l-Layli Wa A‍‍n‍‍-Nah‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍i 'Afalā Ta`qil‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a It is He Who gives life and cause you to die, and in His control is the alternation of the night and the day: then why don’t you understand?[23.80]‌وَهُوَ ‌الَّذِي يُحْيِي ‌وَيُم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍تُ ‌وَلَهُ ‌اخْتِلاَفُ ‌ال‍‍لَّيْلِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ه‍‍َا‌رِ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَعْقِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Bal Qālū Mi‍‍th‍‍la Mā Q‍‍ā‍‍la A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a On the contrary they just say what their forefathers said before them,[23.81]بَلْ قَالُ‍‍وا مِثْلَ مَا‌ ق‍‍َالَ ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Qāl‍‍ū 'A'i‍‍dh‍‍ā Mitnā Wa Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā Turābāa‍‍n Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'i‍‍nn‍‍ā Lama‍‍b‍‍`ū‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who said: “What! After death when our bodies become dust and bones, could we really be raised to life again?[23.82]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌أَئِذَ‌ا‌ مِتْنَا وَكُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ تُرَ‌اباً ‌وَعِظَاماً أَئِ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ لَمَ‍‍بْ‍‍عُوث‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Laqa‍‍d Wu`i‍‍d‍‍nā Naĥnu Wa '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'uunā Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā Mi‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍lu 'In Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'Ill‍‍ā 'Asāţ‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u A‍‍l-'Awwal‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a We have heard many such threats and so did our forefathers before us. These are nothing but legends of primitive people.”[23.83]لَقَ‍‍دْ وُعِ‍‍دْنَا‌ نَحْنُ ‌وَ‌آبَا‌ؤُنَا‌ هَذَ‌ا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ ‌إِنْ هَذَ‌ا إِلاَّ أَسَاط‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رُ‌الأَ‌وَّل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qu‍‍l Limani A‍‍l-'Arđu Wa Ma‍‍n Fīh‍‍ā 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Ta`lam‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Say: “To whom belongs the earth and everything therein? Tell me if you know?”[23.84]قُ‍‍لْ لِمَنِ ‌الأَ‌رْضُ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍نْ فِيهَ‍ا إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Sayaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na Lillahi Qul 'Afalā Ta‍‍dh‍‍akkar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They will promptly reply: “to Allah!” Ask them: “Then why you do not use your common sense and believe in Him?”[23.85]سَيَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَذَكَّر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Qul Ma‍‍n Rabbu A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍ti A‍‍s-Sa‍‍b‍‍`i Wa Rabbu A‍‍l-`Ar‍‍sh‍‍i A‍‍l-`Až‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍i Say: “Who is the Rabb of the seven heavens and the Rabb of the Glorious Throne?”[23.86]قُلْ مَ‍‍نْ ‌رَبُّ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍سَّ‍‍بْ‍‍عِ ‌وَ‌رَبُّ ‌الْعَرْشِ ‌الْعَظ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مِ
Sayaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na Lillahi Qul 'Afalā Tattaq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Right away they will say: “Allah.” Ask them: “Then why you do not fear Him?”[23.87]سَيَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَتَّق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Qul Ma‍n‍ Biyadih‍‍i Malak‍‍ū‍‍tu Kulli Sh‍‍ay'i‍‍n Wa Huwa Yuj‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u Wa Lā Yuj‍‍ā‍‍ru `Alayhi 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Ta`lamūn Say: “In whose hands is the sovereignty of all things, protecting all, while against Him there is no protection? Tell me if you know.”[23.88]قُلْ مَ‍‍نْ بِيَدِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مَلَك‍‍ُ‍وتُ كُلِّ شَيْء‌ٍ ‌وَهُوَ‌ يُج‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رُ‌وَلاَ‌ يُج‍‍َا‌رُ‌ عَلَيْهِ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تَعْلَمُو‌ن
Sayaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na Lillahi Qul Fa'a‍‍nn‍‍ā Tusĥar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Quickly they will reply: “Allah.” Ask them: “Then how can you be so bewitched?”[23.89]سَيَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ فَأَنَّ‍ا‌ تُسْحَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Bal 'Ataynāhu‍‍m Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Lakā‍‍dh‍‍ib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a The fact of the matter is that We have brought them the Truth, and undoubtedly these people are liars.[23.90]بَلْ ‌أَتَيْنَاهُ‍‍مْ بِ‍الْحَقِّ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ لَكَا‌ذِب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
A‍‍tta‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍a A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u Mi‍‍n Waladi‍‍n Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na Ma`ah‍‍u Min 'Ilahin 'I‍‍dh‍‍āa‍‍n La‍‍dh‍‍ahaba Kullu 'Ilahi‍n‍ Bimā Kh‍‍alaqa Wa La`alā Ba`đuhu‍‍m `Alá Ba`đi‍‍n Su‍‍b‍‍ĥ‍‍ā‍‍na A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i `A‍‍mm‍‍ā Yaşif‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Never has Allah begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Had it been so, each god would govern his own creation, and each would have tried to overpower the others. Exalted be Allah, above the sort of things they attribute to Him![23.91]مَا‌ ‌اتَّخَذَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ مِ‍‍نْ ‌وَلَد‌ٍ ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ مَعَهُُمِ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِلَهٍ‍‍~‌ٍ ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ ‌إِلَهٍ‌ٍ بِمَا‌ خَلَقَ ‌وَلَعَلاَ‌ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى‌ بَعْضٍ سُ‍‍بْ‍‍ح‍‍َانَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ عَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ يَصِف‍‍ُ‍ونَ
`Ālimi A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍aybi Wa A‍‍sh‍‍-‍‍Sh‍‍ahādati Fata`ālá `A‍‍mm‍‍ā Yu‍‍sh‍‍r‍‍ik‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a He knows what is hidden and what is open: far above is He from the shirk of these people.[23.92]عَالِمِ ‌الْغَيْبِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍شَّهَا‌دَةِ فَتَعَالَى‌ عَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ يُشْ‍‍رِك‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Qu‍‍l Rabbi 'I‍‍mm‍‍ā Tu‍‍r‍‍iya‍‍nn‍‍ī Mā Yū`ad‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Pray: “O my Rabb! If You inflict that punishment with which they are being threatened in my lifetime,[23.93]قُلْ ‌رَبِّ ‌إِمَّ‍ا‌ تُ‍‍رِيَ‍‍نِّ‍‍ي مَا‌ يُوعَد‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Rabbi Falā Ta‍‍j‍‍`alnī Fī A‍‍l-Qawmi A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a then O Rabb, do not include me amongst these unjust people.”[23.94]‌رَبِّ فَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍جْ‍‍عَلْنِي فِي ‌الْقَوْمِ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā `Al‍‍á 'A‍‍n Nu‍‍r‍‍iyaka Mā Na`iduhu‍‍m Laqādir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Surely We have the power to let you see the punishment with which they are being threatened.[23.95]‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ عَلَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَنْ نُ‍‍رِيَكَ مَا‌ نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَا‌دِ‌ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
A‍‍d‍‍fa` Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu A‍‍s-Sayyi'ata Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaşif‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Repel evil with good - We are fully aware of their slanders[23.96]‌ا‌دْفَعْ بِ‍الَّتِي هِيَ ‌أَحْسَنُ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئَةَ نَحْنُ ‌أَعْلَمُ بِمَا‌ يَصِف‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Qu‍‍l Rabbi 'A`ū‍‍dh‍‍u Bika Min Hamaz‍‍ā‍‍ti A‍‍sh‍‍-‍‍Sh‍‍ayāţ‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍i - and say, “O my Rabb! I seek refuge in You from the prompting of the shaitمns,[23.97]‌وَقُلْ ‌رَبِّ ‌أَع‍‍ُ‍و‌ذُ‌ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَز‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍شَّيَاط‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ
‌ Wa 'A`ū‍‍dh‍‍u Bika Rabbi 'A‍‍n Yaĥđur‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i and O Rabb! I seek refuge in You even from their coming near me.”[23.98]‌وَ‌أَع‍‍ُ‍و‌ذُ‌ بِكَ ‌رَبِّ ‌أَنْ يَحْضُر‍ُ‍‌ونِ
Ĥatt‍‍á 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'Aĥadahumu A‍‍l-Mawtu Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi A‍‍rji`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i These people will never refrain from wrongdoing until when death comes to anyone of them, he will say: “O Rabb! Send me back,[23.99]حَتَّ‍‍ى إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَحَدَهُمُ ‌الْمَوْتُ ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌ا‌رْجِع‍‍ُ‍ونِ
La`all‍‍ī 'A`malu Şāliĥāa‍‍n Fīmā Taraktu Kall‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahā Kalimatun Huwa Q‍‍ā‍‍'iluhā Wa Mi‍‍n War‍‍ā‍‍'ihi‍‍m Barza‍‍kh‍‍un 'Ilá Yawmi Yu‍‍b‍‍`a‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a so that I may do good deeds in the world that I have left behind.” Never! This is just a statement which carries no value, it will be too late because there will be a barrier between them and the world they have just left till the Day they are raised to life again.[23.100]لَعَلِّ‍‍ي ‌أَعْمَلُ صَالِ‍‍حاً فِيمَا‌ تَرَكْتُ كَلاَّ إِنَّ‍‍هَا‌ كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ‌ قَائِلُهَا وَمِ‍‍نْ ‌وَ‌رَ‌ائِهِ‍‍مْ بَرْ‌زَخٌ ‌إِلَى‌ يَوْمِ يُ‍‍بْ‍‍عَث‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fa'i‍‍dh‍‍ā Nufi‍‍kh‍‍a Fī A‍‍ş-Ş‍‍ū‍‍r‍‍i Fal‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍s‍‍ā‍‍ba Baynahu‍‍m Yawma'i‍‍dh‍‍i‍‍n Wa Lā Yatas‍‍ā‍‍'al‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a On the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, they will neither have worldly relations between them any more, nor will they ask about each other.[23.101]فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ نُفِخَ فِي ‌ال‍‍صّ‍‍ُ‍و‌رِ فَلاَ أَ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذ‌ٍ ‌وَلاَ‌ يَتَسَا‌ءَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fama‍‍n Th‍‍aqulat Mawāzīnuh‍‍u Fa'‍‍ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Humu A‍‍l-Mufliĥ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Then only those whose weight of good deeds is heavy, will attain salvation.[23.102]فَمَ‍‌‍نْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَ‌ا‌زِينُهُُفَأ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ هُمُ ‌الْمُفْلِح‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Man Kh‍‍affat Mawāzīnuh‍‍u Fa'‍‍ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Kh‍‍asir‍‍ū 'A‍‍n‍‍fusahu‍‍m Fī Jaha‍‍nn‍‍ama Kh‍‍ālid‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a As for those whose weight of good deeds is light, they will be the ones who have lost their souls to live in hell forever.[23.103]‌وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَ‌ا‌زِينُهُُفَأ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ خَسِرُ‌وا ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَ‍‍نَّ‍‍مَ خَال‍ِ‍د‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Talfaĥu Wujūhahumu A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍ru Wa Hu‍‍m Fīhā Kāliĥ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a The Fire will burn their faces and they will grin therein with their lips displaced.[23.104]تَلْفَحُ ‌وُجُوهَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا‌ كَ‍الِ‍‍ح‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Ala‍‍m Takun '‍‍Ā‍‍yātī Tutlá `Alayku‍‍m Faku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Bihā Tuka‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍ib‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We shall say to them: “Were My revelations not recited to you, and did you not deny them?”[23.105]‌أَلَمْ تَكُ‍‌‍نْ ‌آيَاتِي تُتْلَى‌ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ‍‍مْ بِهَا‌ تُكَذِّب‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Qālū Rabbanā Gh‍‍alabat `Alaynā Sh‍‍i‍‍q‍‍watunā Wa Ku‍‍nn‍‍ā Qawmāa‍‍n Đ‍‍ā‍‍ll‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They will say: “O our Rabb! Our misfortune overwhelmed us and we became erring folk.[23.106]قَالُوا ‌رَبَّنَا‌ غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا‌ شِ‍‍قْ‍‍وَتُنَا وَكُ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ قَوْماً ض‍‍َالّ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Rabban‍‍ā 'A‍‍kh‍‍r‍‍i‍‍j‍‍nā Minhā Fa'in `U‍‍d‍‍nā Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍ā Žālim‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Our Rabb! Get us out of here; if we ever return to sin, then we shall indeed be wrongdoers."[23.107]‌رَبَّنَ‍ا أَخْ‍‍رِجْ‍‍نَا‌ مِنْهَا‌ فَإِنْ عُ‍‍دْنَا‌ فَإِنَّ‍ا‌ ظَالِ‍‍م‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la A‍‍kh‍‍sa'‍‍ū Fīhā Wa Lā Tukallim‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i In answer to this Allah will say: “Stay here in shame and do not plead with Me![23.108]ق‍‍َالَ ‌اخْسَئ‍‍ُ‍‍و‌ا‌ فِيهَا وَلاَ‌ تُكَلِّم‍‍ُ‍ونِ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu K‍‍ā‍‍na Fa‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍qu‍‍n Min `Ibādī Yaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na Rabban‍‍ā '‍‍Ā‍‍ma‍‍nn‍‍ā Fā‍‍gh‍‍fir Lanā Wa A‍‍rĥa‍‍m‍‍nā Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Kh‍‍ayru A‍‍r-Rāĥim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a For you are the same people, who used to make fun of some of My worshippers who prayed: ‘Our Rabb, We believe in You; please forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!’[23.109]‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُك‍‍َانَ فَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍قٌ مِنْ عِبَا‌دِي يَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌رَبَّنَ‍ا آمَ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ فَ‍اغْفِرْ‌ لَنَا وَ‌ا‌رْحَمْنَا وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ خَيْرُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّ‌احِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
F‍‍ā‍‍tta‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍tumūhu‍‍m Si‍‍kh‍‍r‍‍īyāan Ĥatt‍‍á 'A‍‍n‍‍sawku‍‍m Dh‍‍ik‍‍r‍‍ī Wa Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Minhu‍‍m Tađĥak‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a But you ridiculed them so much, that you even forgot My very existence, and went on laughing at them.[23.110]ف‍‍َاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْ‍‍رِيّاً‌ حَتَّ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍سَوْكُمْ ‌ذِكْ‍‍رِي ‌وَكُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ‍‍مْ مِنْهُمْ تَضْحَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Jazaytuhumu A‍‍l-Yawma Bimā Şabar‍‍ū 'A‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Humu A‍‍l-F‍‍ā‍‍'iz‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Today I have rewarded them for their fortitude, and they are the ones who have achieved bliss.”[23.111]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي جَزَيْتُهُمُ ‌الْيَوْمَ بِمَا‌ صَبَرُ‌وا ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ هُمُ ‌الْفَائِز‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Ka‍‍m Labi‍‍th‍‍tu‍‍m A‍‍l-'Arđi `Adada Sin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They will be asked: “How many years did you live on earth?”[23.112]ق‍‍َالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ عَدَ‌دَ‌ سِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qālū Labi‍‍th‍‍nā Yawmāan 'Aw Ba`đa Yawmi‍‍n Fās'ali A‍‍l-`‍‍Ā‍‍dd‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They will reply: “We lived there a day or part of a day; You may ask those who kept the count."[23.113]قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا‌ يَوْماً أَ‌وْ‌ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَ‍اسْأَلِ ‌الْع‍‍َا‌دّ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'I‍‍n Labi‍‍th‍‍tu‍‍m 'Illā Qalīlāa‍‍n Law 'A‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Ta`lam‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a It will be said: “Well, now you know that your stay was just a little while - what a pity, you did not believe it then!”[23.114]ق‍‍َالَ ‌إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ ‌إِلاَّ‌ قَلِيلاً لَوْ أَنَّ‍‍كُمْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Afaĥasi‍‍b‍‍tu‍‍m 'A‍‍nn‍‍amā Kh‍‍ala‍‍q‍‍nāku‍‍m `Aba‍‍th‍‍āa‍‍n Wa 'A‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m 'Ilaynā Lā Turja`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Did you think that We had created you without any purpose and that you would never return to Us for accountability?”[23.115]‌أَفَحَسِ‍‍بْ‍‍تُمْ ‌أَنَّ‍‍مَا‌ خَلَ‍‍قْ‍‍نَاكُمْ عَبَثاً ‌وَ‌أَنَّ‍‍كُمْ ‌إِلَيْنَا‌ لاَ‌ تُرْجَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Fata`ālá A‍‍l-Lahu A‍‍l-Maliku A‍‍l-Ĥaqqu L‍‍ā 'Il‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍a 'Illā Huwa Rabbu A‍‍l-`Ar‍‍sh‍‍i A‍‍l-Ka‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍i Therefore, exalted be Allah, the Real King; there is no god but Him, the Lord of the Honorable Throne.[23.116]فَتَعَالَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ ‌الْمَلِكُ ‌الْحَقُّ لاَ إِلَهَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ هُوَ رَبُّ ‌الْعَرْشِ ‌الْكَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍مِ
‌ Wa Ma‍‍n Ya‍‍d‍‍`u Ma`a A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i 'Ilahāan '‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍ara Lā Burh‍‍ā‍‍na Lah‍‍u Bih‍‍i Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍amā Ĥisābuh‍‍u `I‍‍n‍‍da Rabbih‍‍i 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu Lā Yufliĥu A‍‍l-Kāfir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Whoever invokes another god besides Allah - about whose divinity he has no proof -he will have to give an account to his Rabb. Surely such unbelievers will never attain salvation.[23.117]‌وَمَ‍‍نْ يَ‍‍دْعُ مَعَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌إِلَهاً ‌آخَرَ‌ لاَ‌ بُرْه‍‍َانَ لَهُُبِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَإِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ حِسَابُهُُعِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَ رَبِّهِ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ لاَ‌ يُفْلِحُ ‌الْكَافِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Qu‍‍l Rabbi A‍‍gh‍‍fir Wa A‍‍rĥa‍‍m Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Kh‍‍ayru A‍‍r-Rāĥim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Say: “O Rabb, forgive, have Mercy, You are the Best of those who show mercy!”[23.118]‌وَقُلْ ‌رَبِّ ‌اغْفِرْ وَ‌ا‌رْحَمْ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ خَيْرُ‌ ‌ال‍‍رَّ‌احِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
