'Alif-Lā‍‍m‍‍-Rā Kit‍‍ā‍‍bun 'Uĥkimat '‍‍Ā‍‍yātuh‍‍u Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Fuşşilat Mi‍‍n Ladun Ĥak‍‍ī‍‍min Kh‍‍ab‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍‍‍in Alif L'مm R'م. This Book, whose verses are perfected and issued in detail by the One Who is All-Wise, All-Aware,[11.1]‌أَلِف-لَام-رَ‌ا‌ كِت‍‍َابٌ ‌أُحْكِمَتْ ‌آيَاتُهُُثُ‍‍مَّ فُصِّلَتْ مِ‍‍نْ لَدُنْ حَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ خَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ر‌‌ٍ
'Allā Ta`bud‍‍ū 'Illā A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a 'I‍‍nn‍‍anī Laku‍‍m Minhu Na‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u‍‍n Wa Ba‍‍sh‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍un Teaches that you should worship none but Allah - indeed I am a warner and bearer of good news from Him to you.[11.2]‌أَلاَّ‌ تَعْبُدُ‌وا ‌إِلاَّ ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍نِي لَكُ‍‍مْ مِنْهُ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ ‌وَبَش‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ
‌ Wa 'Ani A‍‍sta‍‍gh‍‍firū Rabbaku‍‍m Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Tūb‍‍ū 'Ilayhi Yumatti`ku‍‍m Matā`āan Ĥasanāan 'Il‍‍á 'Ajali‍‍n Musa‍‍mm‍‍áa‍‍n Wa Yu'uti Kulla Dh‍‍ī Fađli‍‍n Fađlah‍‍u Wa 'I‍‍n Tawallaw Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍fu `Alayku‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba Yawmi‍‍n Kab‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍‍‍in You should seek forgiveness of your Rabb and turn to Him in repentance; He will grant you good provisions untill an appointed term, and bestow His grace on everyone who has merit! But if you turn away (pay no heed), I fear for you the punishment of a Great Day.[11.3]‌وَ‌أَنِ ‌اسْتَغْفِرُ‌وا ‌رَبَّكُمْ ثُ‍‍مَّ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُ‍‍مْ مَتَاعاً‌ حَسَ‍‌‍ن‍اً ‌إِلَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أَجَلٍ مُسَ‍‍مّ‍‍ىً ‌وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ‌ذِي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُُ‌وَ‌إِ‌نْ تَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ فَإِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَخ‍‍َافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَوْمٍ كَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ر‌‌ٍ
'Ilá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Marji`uku‍‍m Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Sh‍‍ay'i‍‍n Qad‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍un To Allah you shall all return and He has power over everything.[11.4]‌إِلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ‌وَهُوَ‌ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَيْء‌‌ٍ قَد‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ
'Al‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Ya‍‍th‍‍n‍‍ū‍‍na Şudūrahu‍‍m Liyasta‍‍kh‍‍fū Minhu 'Alā Ĥ‍‍ī‍‍na Yasta‍‍gh‍‍sh‍‍ū‍‍na Th‍‍iyābahu‍‍m Ya`lamu Mā Yusi‍‍r‍‍r‍‍ū‍‍na Wa Mā Yu`lin‍‍ū‍‍na 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u `Al‍‍ī‍‍mu‍n‍ Bi‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ti A‍‍ş-Şud‍‍ū‍‍r‍‍i Behold! They cover up their chests to conceal their thoughts from Him! Beware! Even when they cover themselves with their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they reveal, for He knows even the inmost secrets of the chests.[11.5]‌أَلاَ إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ يَثْن‍‍ُ‍ونَ صُدُ‌و‌رَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا مِنْهُ ‌أَلاَ‌ ح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَسْتَغْش‍‍ُ‍ونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا‌ يُسِرّ‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌وَمَا‌ يُعْلِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُعَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍م‌‍ٌ بِذ‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍صُّد‍ُ‍‌و‌رِ
‌ Wa Mā Mi‍‍n D‍‍ā‍‍bbati‍‍n A‍‍l-'Arđi 'Illā `Alá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i R‍‍izquhā Wa Ya`lamu Mustaqarrahā Wa Mustawda`ahā Kullu‍‍n Fī Kit‍‍ā‍‍bi‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in There is no moving creature on Earth whose sustenance is not provided by Allah. He knows its living and its resting place, and all that is recorded in a Glorious Book. [11.6]‌وَمَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍َ‍‌ابَّةٍ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌رِ‌زْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْ‌دَعَهَا‌ كُلٌّ فِي كِت‍‍َابٍ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
‌ Wa Huwa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Kh‍‍alaqa A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa A‍‍l-'Arđa Fī Sittati 'Ayy‍‍ā‍‍mi‍‍n Wa K‍‍ā‍‍na `Ar‍‍sh‍‍uh‍‍u `Alá A‍‍l-M‍‍ā‍‍'i Liya‍‍b‍‍luwaku‍‍m 'Ayyuku‍‍m 'Aĥsanu `Amalāa‍‍n Wa La'i‍‍n Qulta 'I‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Ma‍‍b‍‍`ū‍‍th‍‍ū‍‍na Mi‍n‍ Ba`di A‍‍l-Mawti Layaqūla‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Kafar‍‍ū 'In Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'Illā Siĥru‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un He is the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods - at the time when His Throne was resting on the water - so that He may test to find out which of you is the best in deeds. Now if you tell them:" You shall indeed be raised up after death," the unbelievers would certainly say: “This is nothing but sheer magic!”[11.7]‌وَهُوَ ‌الَّذِي خَلَقَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ ‌أَيّ‍‍َامٍ ‌وَك‍‍َانَ عَرْشُهُُعَلَى‌ ‌الْم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ لِيَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُوَكُمْ ‌أَيُّكُمْ ‌أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً ‌وَلَئِ‍‌‍نْ قُلْتَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُ‍‍مْ مَ‍‍بْ‍‍عُوث‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِ‍‍نْ بَعْدِ‌ ‌الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَ‍‍نَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌إِنْ هَذَ‌ا إِلاَّ‌ سِحْرٌ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
‌ Wa La'in 'A‍‍kh‍‍kh‍‍arnā `Anhumu A‍‍l-`A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba 'Il‍‍á 'U‍‍mm‍‍ati‍‍n Ma`dūdati‍‍n Layaqūlu‍‍nn‍‍a Mā Yaĥbisuh‍‍u 'Alā Yawma Ya'tīhi‍‍m Laysa Maşrūfāan `Anhu‍‍m Wa Ĥ‍‍ā‍‍qa Bihi‍‍m Mā Kānū Bih‍‍i Yastahzi'‍‍ū‍‍n And if We put off their punishment till an appointed time, they are sure to ask: “What is holding it back?” Beware! When the Day of that punishment comes, nothing will hold it back from them and they will be completely encircled by that which they are ridiculing.[11.8]‌وَلَئِنْ ‌أَخَّرْنَا‌ عَنْهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ ‌إِلَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ مَعْدُ‌و‌دَة‌ٍ لَيَقُولُ‍‍نَّ مَا‌ يَحْبِسُهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَلاَ‌ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُ‌وفاً‌ عَنْهُمْ ‌وَح‍‍َاقَ بِهِ‍‍مْ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ يَسْتَهْزِئ‍‍ُ‍‍و‌ن
‌ Wa La'in 'A‍‍dh‍‍a‍‍q‍‍nā A‍‍l-'I‍‍n‍‍s‍‍ā‍‍na Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Raĥmata‍‍n Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Naza`nāhā Minhu 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Laya'‍‍ū‍‍su‍‍n Kaf‍‍ū‍‍r‍‍un If We let man taste any mercy from Us, then withdraw it from him, he becomes despairing, ungrateful.[11.9]‌وَلَئِنْ ‌أَ‌ذَقْ‍‍نَا‌ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانَ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا رَحْمَةً ثُ‍‍مَّ نَزَعْنَاهَا‌ مِنْهُ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُلَيَئ‍‍ُ‍وسٌ كَف‍‍ُ‍و‌رٌ
‌ Wa La'in 'A‍‍dh‍‍a‍‍q‍‍n‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Na`m‍‍ā‍‍'a Ba`da Đarr‍‍ā‍‍'a Massat/hu Layaqūla‍‍nn‍‍a Dh‍‍ahaba A‍‍s-Sayyi'‍‍ā‍‍tu `A‍‍nn‍‍ī 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Lafa‍‍r‍‍iĥu‍‍n Fa‍‍kh‍‍ū‍‍r‍‍un But if We let him taste any favor after adversity has afflicted him, then he says: “All my sorrows are gone from me,” and he becomes jubilantly arrogant.[11.10]‌وَلَئِنْ ‌أَ‌ذَقْ‍‍ن‍‍َاهُُنَعْم‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ بَعْدَ‌ ضَرّ‍َ‌اءَ‌ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَ‍‍نَّ ‌ذَهَبَ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتُ عَ‍‍نِّ‍‍ي ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُلَفَ‍‍رِحٌ فَخ‍‍ُ‍و‌رٌ
'Illā A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Şabarū Wa `Amilū A‍‍ş-Şāliĥ‍‍ā‍‍ti '‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Lahu‍‍m Ma‍‍gh‍‍firatu‍‍n Wa 'A‍‍j‍‍ru‍‍n Kab‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍un The exception is for those people who are steadfast and do good deeds; they are the ones who will have forgiveness and a great reward.[11.11]‌إِلاَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ صَبَرُ‌وا ‌وَعَمِلُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّالِح‍‍َاتِ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ لَهُ‍‍مْ مَغْفِرَةٌ ‌وَ‌أَجْ‍‍رٌ كَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ
Fala`allaka Tā‍‍r‍‍iku‍n‍ Ba`đa Mā Yūĥ‍‍á 'Ilayka Wa Đ‍‍ā‍‍'iqu‍n‍ Bihi Şa‍‍d‍‍ruka 'A‍‍n Yaqūlū Lawl‍‍ā 'U‍‍n‍‍zila `Alayhi Ka‍‍n‍‍zun 'Aw J‍‍ā‍‍'a Ma`ah‍‍u Malakun 'I‍‍nn‍‍am‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Na‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u‍‍n Wa A‍‍ll‍‍ā‍‍hu `Alá Kulli Sh‍‍ay'i‍‍n Wa K‍‍ī‍‍l‍‍un O Prophet, be on your guard lest you omit to recite some things which are being revealed to you feeling distressed in your heart that they might say: “Why has no treasure been sent down to him, or why has no angel come with him?” You should know that you are nothing but a warner! It is Allah Who is the Custodian of everything.[11.12]فَلَعَلَّكَ تَا‌رِك‌‍ٌ بَعْضَ مَا‌ يُوحَ‍‍ى إِلَيْكَ ‌وَضَائِق‌‍ٌ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ صَ‍‍دْ‌رُكَ ‌أَنْ يَقُولُوا لَوْلاَ أُ‌ن‍‍زِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَ‍‌‍ن‍‍زٌ أَ‌وْ‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ مَعَهُُمَلَكٌ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَيْء‌ٍ ‌وَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٌ
'A‍‍m Yaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍ftar‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Qul Fa'tū Bi`a‍‍sh‍‍r‍‍i Suwa‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍lih‍‍i Muftaray‍‍ā‍‍ti‍‍n Wa A‍‍d‍‍`ū Mani A‍‍staţa`tu‍‍m Mi‍‍n D‍‍ū‍‍ni A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Şādiq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Do they say: “He has made up the Qur’an himself." Say to them: "Make up ten Sürahs like this and call to your aid whomsoever you can, including your gods whom you worship besides Allah, if what you say is true.[11.13]‌أَمْ يَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌افْتَر‍َ‍‌اهُُقُلْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْ‍‍رِ سُوَ‌ر‌ٍ مِثْلِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مُفْتَرَي‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَ‌ا‌دْعُوا مَنِ ‌اسْتَطَعْتُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ صَا‌دِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Fa'illa‍‍m Yastajībū Laku‍‍m Fā`lam‍‍ū 'A‍‍nn‍‍am‍‍ā 'U‍‍n‍‍zila Bi`ilmi A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa 'A‍‍n L‍‍ā 'Il‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍a 'Illā Huwa Fahal 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Muslim‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a But if those gods fail to answer you, then you should know that (they are false gods and that) this (Book) is revealed with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but Him! Will you then become Muslims?”[11.14]فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ فَ‍اعْلَمُ‍‍وا ‌أَنَّ‍‍مَ‍ا أُ‌ن‍‍زِلَ بِعِلْمِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَ‌أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ هُوَ‌ فَهَلْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُ‍‍مْ مُسْلِم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Ma‍‍n K‍‍ā‍‍na Yu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍du A‍‍l-Ĥayāata A‍‍d-Du‍‍n‍‍yā Wa Zīnatahā Nuwaffi 'Ilayhi‍‍m 'A`mālahu‍‍m Fīhā Wa Hu‍‍m Fīhā Lā Yu‍‍b‍‍kh‍‍as‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Those who desire the life of this world and its splendors, they are given full reward of their deeds therein and shall not be diminished.[11.15]مَ‍‌‍نْ ك‍‍َانَ يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ‌ ‌الْحَي‍‍َاةَ ‌ال‍‍دُّنْ‍‍يَا وَ‌زِينَتَهَا‌ نُوَفِّ ‌إِلَيْهِمْ ‌أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا‌ لاَ‌ يُ‍‍بْ‍‍خَس‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Laysa Lahu‍‍m A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍irati 'Illā A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍ru Wa Ĥabiţa Mā Şana`ū Fīhā Wa Bāţilu‍‍n Mā Kānū Ya`mal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They are the ones who will have nothing in the hereafter except Hellfire. There they shall come to know that their deeds were fruitless and their actions were worthless.[11.16]‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِي ‌الآخِرَةِ ‌إِلاَّ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ وَحَبِطَ مَا‌ صَنَعُوا فِيهَا وَبَاطِلٌ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'Afama‍‍n K‍‍ā‍‍na `Alá Bayyinati‍‍n Mi‍‍n Rabbih‍‍i Wa Yatl‍‍ū‍‍hu Sh‍‍āhidu‍‍n Minhu Wa Mi‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍lih‍‍i Kit‍‍ā‍‍bu Mūs‍‍á 'Imāmāa‍‍n Wa Raĥmatan '‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍na Bih‍‍i Wa Ma‍‍n Yakfur Bih‍‍i Mina A‍‍l-'Aĥz‍‍ā‍‍bi Fāl‍‍nn‍‍ā‍‍ru Maw`iduh‍‍u Falā Taku‍‍n Fī Mi‍‍r‍‍yati‍‍n Minhu 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu A‍‍l-Ĥaqqu Mi‍‍n Rabbika Wa Laki‍‍nn‍‍a 'Ak‍‍th‍‍ara A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍si Lā Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Can they be like those who have clear revelations from their Rabb and to whom a witness from Himself recites it, and they have the Book of Musa before them - a guidance and a blessing? Can such people deny the revelation of Al- Qur’an? No of course not, rather such people will believe in this, but those factions who do not believe shall have their promised place in the Hellfire. So, O Prophet, do not be in any doubt about it; it is the Truth from your Rabb, even though most people do not believe so.[11.17]‌أَفَمَ‍‌‍نْ ك‍‍َانَ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‍نْ ‌رَبِّهِ‍ِ‍ وَيَتْل‍‍ُ‍وهُُشَاهِدٌ مِنْهُ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِهِ‍ِ‍‌ كِت‍‍َابُ مُوسَ‍‍ى إِمَاماً ‌وَ‌رَحْمَةً ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِهِ‍ِ‍ وَمَ‍‍نْ يَكْفُرْ‌ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مِنَ ‌الأَحْز‍َ‍‌ابِ فَ‍ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ‌ مَوْعِدُهُُفَلاَ‌ تَكُ‍‌‍نْ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْهُ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ ‌الْحَقُّ مِ‍‍نْ ‌رَبِّكَ ‌وَلَكِ‍‍نَّ ‌أَكْثَرَ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mi‍‍mm‍‍ani A‍‍ftará `Alá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Ka‍‍dh‍‍ibāan '‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika Yu`rađ‍‍ū‍‍na `Alá Rabbihi‍‍m Wa Yaq‍‍ū‍‍lu A‍‍l-'A‍‍sh‍‍/h‍‍ā‍‍du H‍‍ā‍‍'uul‍‍ā‍‍' A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Ka‍‍dh‍‍abū `Alá Rabbihi‍‍m 'Alā La`natu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i `Alá A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Who can be more wrong than the one who forges a lie against Allah? Such people will be brought before their Rabb, and the witnesses will say: “These are the ones who lied against their Rabb." Beware! The Curse of Allah is on those wrongdoers[11.18]‌وَمَنْ ‌أَظْلَمُ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍نِ ‌افْتَرَ‌ى‌ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ كَذِباً أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ يُعْرَض‍‍ُ‍ونَ عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ ‌وَيَق‍‍ُ‍ولُ ‌الأَشْه‍‍َا‌دُ‌ هَا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ ‌أَلاَ‌ لَعْنَةُ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Al-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Yaşudd‍‍ū‍‍na `A‍‍n Sab‍‍ī‍‍li A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa Ya‍‍b‍‍gh‍‍ūnahā `Iwajāa‍‍n Wa Hu‍‍m Bil-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍irati Hu‍‍m Kāfir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a who hinder others from the path of Allah and seek to make it crooked, and who deny the hereafter.[11.19]‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَصُدّ‍ُ‍‌ونَ عَ‍‌‍نْ سَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَيَ‍‍بْ‍‍غُونَهَا‌ عِوَجاً ‌وَهُ‍‍مْ بِ‍الآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَ‍افِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika La‍‍m Yakūnū Mu`jiz‍‍ī‍‍na Fī A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na Lahu‍‍m Mi‍‍n D‍‍ū‍‍ni A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Min 'Awliy‍‍ā‍‍'a Yuđā`afu Lahumu A‍‍l-`A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu Mā Kānū Yastaţī`‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍s-Sa‍‍m‍‍`a Wa Mā Kānū Yu‍‍b‍‍şir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a These people cannot frustrate His plan in the land and there is none to protect them besides Allah. Their punishment shall be doubled, for they could neither hear others who speak the Truth nor see the Truth for themselves.[11.20]‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا مُعْجِز‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ لَهُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ مِنْ ‌أَ‌وْلِي‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يَسْتَطِيع‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعَ ‌وَمَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يُ‍‍بْ‍‍صِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Kh‍‍asir‍‍ū 'A‍‍n‍‍fusahu‍‍m Wa Đalla `Anhu‍‍m Mā Kānū Yaftar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a They are the ones who have lost their own souls, and the fancies they invented have left them in the lurch.[11.21]‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ خَسِرُ‌وا ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسَهُمْ ‌وَضَلَّ عَنْهُ‍‍مْ مَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يَفْتَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Lā Jarama 'A‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍irati Humu A‍‍l-'A‍‍kh‍‍sar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a No doubt they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter.[11.22]لاَ‌ جَرَمَ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ فِي ‌الآخِرَةِ هُمُ ‌الأَخْسَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na '‍‍Ā‍‍manū Wa `Amilū A‍‍ş-Şāliĥ‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa 'A‍‍kh‍‍bat‍‍ū 'Ilá Rabbihi‍‍m '‍‍Ū‍‍l‍‍ā‍‍'ika 'Aşĥ‍‍ā‍‍bu A‍‍l-Ja‍‍nn‍‍ati Hu‍‍m Fīhā Kh‍‍ālid‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a As for those who believe and do good deeds and humble themselves before their Rabb, they will be residents of paradise to live therein forever.[11.23]‌إِنَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا ‌وَعَمِلُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّالِح‍‍َاتِ ‌وَ‌أَخْبَتُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلَائِكَ ‌أَصْح‍‍َابُ ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ هُمْ فِيهَا‌ خَال‍ِ‍د‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Ma‍‍th‍‍alu A‍‍l-Fa‍‍r‍‍īqayni Kāl'a`‍‍m‍‍á Wa A‍‍l-'Aşa‍‍mm‍‍i Wa A‍‍l-Baş‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍‍‍i Wa A‍‍s-Sam‍‍ī‍‍`i Hal Yastawiy‍‍ā‍‍ni Ma‍‍th‍‍alāan 'Afalā Ta‍‍dh‍‍akkar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a The example of these two kinds of people is like two men, one of whom is blind and deaf, and the other who can see and hear. Are they equal when compared? Will you not then learn a lesson from this example?[11.24]مَثَلُ ‌الْفَ‍‍رِيقَيْنِ كَ‍الأَعْمَى وَ‌الأَصَ‍‍مِّ ‌وَ‌الْبَص‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رِ وَ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍عِ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي‍‍َانِ مَثَلاً أَفَلاَ‌ تَذَكَّر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmih‍‍i 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Laku‍‍m Na‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍un We sent Nüh to his people. Nüh said: “I have come to warn you plainly,[11.25]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ نُوحاً ‌إِلَى‌ قَوْمِهِ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٌ
'A‍‍n Lā Ta`bud‍‍ū 'Illā A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍fu `Alayku‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba Yawmin 'Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in not to worship anyone except Allah; otherwise I am afraid for you the punishment of a painful Day."[11.26]‌أَنْ لاَ‌ تَعْبُدُ‌وا ‌إِلاَّ ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَخ‍‍َافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَوْمٍ ‌أَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Faq‍‍ā‍‍la A‍‍l-Mala'u A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Kafarū Mi‍‍n Qawmihi Mā Nar‍‍ā‍‍ka 'Illā Ba‍‍sh‍‍arāa‍‍n Mi‍‍th‍‍lanā Wa Mā Nar‍‍ā‍‍ka A‍‍ttaba`aka 'Illā A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Hu‍‍m 'Arā‍‍dh‍‍ilunā Bādiya A‍‍r-Ra'yi Wa Mā Nará Laku‍‍m `Alaynā Mi‍‍n Fađli‍n‍ Bal Nažu‍‍nn‍‍uku‍‍m Kā‍‍dh‍‍ib‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a In answer to this, the chiefs of the unbelievers among his people said: “We see you as no more than merely a human being like ourselves: and we see that no one has followed you except the meanest among us, whose judgement abilities are immature, and we find nothing in you which gives you superiority over us: in fact we think that you are a liar."[11.27]فَق‍‍َالَ ‌الْمَلَأُ‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا مِ‍‌‍نْ قَوْمِهِ‍ِ‍‌ مَا‌ نَر‍َ‍‌اكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بَشَر‌اً مِثْلَنَا وَمَا‌ نَر‍َ‍‌اكَ ‌اتَّبَعَكَ ‌إِلاَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ ‌أَ‌رَ‌ا‌ذِلُنَا‌ بَا‌دِيَ ‌ال‍‍رَّ‌أْيِ ‌وَمَا‌ نَرَ‌ى‌ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ فَضْلٍ بَلْ نَظُ‍‍نُّ‍‍كُمْ كَ‍ا‌ذِب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytu‍‍m 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu `Alá Bayyinati‍‍n Mi‍‍n Rabbī Wa '‍‍Ā‍‍tānī Raĥmata‍‍n Min `I‍‍n‍‍dih‍‍i Fa`u‍‍mm‍‍iyat `Alayku‍‍m 'Anulzimukumūhā Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Lahā Kā‍‍r‍‍ih‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a He said: “O my people, look! If I am given clear proof from my Rabb, and He has bestowed on me His grace, although it be hidden from you, can we compel you to accept it against your will?[11.28]ق‍‍َالَ يَاقَوْمِ ‌أَ‌رَ‌أَيْتُمْ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‍نْ ‌رَبِّي ‌وَ‌آتَانِي ‌رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَعُ‍‍مِّ‍‍يَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ ‌أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ لَهَا‌ كَ‍ا‌رِه‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Yāqawmi L‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi Mālāan 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍iya 'Illā `Alá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa M‍‍ā 'Anā Biţā‍‍r‍‍idi A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na '‍‍Ā‍‍man‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Mulāqū Rabbihi‍‍m Wa Laki‍‍nn‍‍ī 'Arāku‍‍m Qawmāa‍‍n Ta‍‍j‍‍hal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a O my people! I do not ask you any wealth for this work, for none but Allah can reward me. I am not going to drive away those who believe; for they will surely meet their Rabb. But I can see that you are acting out of ignorance.[11.29]‌وَيَاقَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالاً ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَمَ‍ا أَنَا‌ بِطَا‌رِ‌دِ‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ‍‍مْ مُلاَقُو رَبِّهِمْ ‌وَلَكِ‍‍نِّ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌رَ‌اكُمْ قَوْماً تَ‍‍جْ‍‍هَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Yāqawmi Ma‍‍n Ya‍‍n‍‍şurunī Mina A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i 'I‍‍n Ţara‍‍d‍‍tuhu‍‍m 'Afalā Ta‍‍dh‍‍akkar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a And O my people! Who will save me from Allah, if I drive them away? Don’t you understand this simple thing?[11.30]‌وَيَاقَوْمِ مَ‍‍نْ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍صُرُنِي مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌إِ‌نْ طَرَ‌دْتُهُمْ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَذَكَّر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa L‍‍ā 'Aq‍‍ū‍‍lu Laku‍‍m `I‍‍n‍‍dī Kh‍‍az‍‍ā‍‍'inu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa L‍‍ā 'A`lamu A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍ayba Wa L‍‍ā 'Aq‍‍ū‍‍lu 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Malaku‍‍n Wa L‍‍ā 'Aq‍‍ū‍‍lu Lilla‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Tazda‍‍r‍‍ī 'A`yunuku‍‍m La‍‍n Yu'utiyahumu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u Kh‍‍ayrāan A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u 'A`lamu Bimā F‍‍ī 'A‍‍n‍‍fusihi‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'I‍‍dh‍‍āa‍‍n Lamina A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a I do not say that I possess the Treasures of Allah, nor do I say that I have knowledge of the unseen, nor do I claim to be an angel; nor do I say of those who are mean in your eyes, that Allah will not grant them any good - Allah knows best what is in their hearts - for if I utter any thing like this, then I will indeed become a wrongdoer."[11.31]‌وَلاَ أَق‍‍ُ‍ولُ لَكُمْ عِ‍‌‍ن‍‍دِي خَزَ‌ائِنُ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ ‌الْغَيْبَ ‌وَلاَ أَق‍‍ُ‍ولُ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي مَلَكٌ ‌وَلاَ أَق‍‍ُ‍ولُ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تَزْ‌دَ‌رِي ‌أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَ‍‍نْ يُؤْتِيَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ خَيْر‌اً ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ ‌أَعْلَمُ بِمَا‌ فِ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسِهِمْ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً لَمِنَ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qālū Yā N‍‍ū‍‍ĥu Qa‍‍d Jādaltanā Fa'ak‍‍th‍‍arta Jidālanā Fa'tinā Bimā Ta`idun‍‍ā 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍ta Mina A‍‍ş-Şādiq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They said: “O Nüh! You have argued with us and argued too much, now bring upon us the scourge with which you threaten us, if what you say is true."[11.32]قَالُوا يَان‍‍ُ‍وحُ قَ‍‍دْ‌ جَا‌دَلْتَنَا‌ فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَ‌الَنَا‌ فَأْتِنَا‌ بِمَا‌ تَعِدُنَ‍ا إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍صَّا‌دِق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'I‍‍nn‍‍amā Ya'tīku‍‍m Bihi A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u 'I‍‍n Sh‍‍ā‍‍'a Wa M‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Bimu`jiz‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a He replied: “ Allah will surely bring it on you if He pleases and then you will not be able to escape from it![11.33]ق‍‍َالَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ يَأْتِيكُ‍‍مْ بِهِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ ‌إِ‌نْ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ وَمَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تُ‍‍مْ بِمُعْجِز‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Lā Ya‍‍n‍‍fa`uku‍‍m Nuşĥ‍‍ī 'In 'Ara‍‍d‍‍tu 'An 'A‍‍n‍‍şaĥa Laku‍‍m 'I‍‍n K‍‍ā‍‍na A‍‍l-Lah‍‍u Yu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍du 'A‍‍n Yu‍‍gh‍‍wiyaku‍‍m Huwa Rabbuku‍‍m Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a My counsel will not profit you, much as I desire to give you good counsel, if Allah wants to leave you astray; He is your Rabb, and to Him you shall return." [11.34]‌وَلاَ‌ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍فَعُكُمْ نُصْحِ‍‍ي ‌إِنْ ‌أَ‌رَ‌دْتُ ‌أَنْ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍صَحَ لَكُمْ ‌إِ‌نْ ك‍‍َانَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهُ يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ أَنْ يُغْوِيَكُمْ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ ‌وَ‌إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ
'A‍‍m Yaqūl‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍ftar‍‍ā‍‍h‍‍u Qul 'Ini A‍‍ftaraytuh‍‍u Fa`alayya 'I‍‍j‍‍rāmī Wa 'Anā Ba‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍'u‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Tu‍‍j‍‍r‍‍im‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Do the unbelievers say “He (Muhammad) himself has forged all this?” Say to them: “If I have indeed forged it, then its sin is on me! And I am clear of the sins which you are committing for not believing it."[11.35]‌أَمْ يَقُول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌افْتَر‍َ‍‌اهُُقُلْ ‌إِنِ ‌افْتَرَيْتُهُُفَعَلَيَّ ‌إِجْ‍‍رَ‌امِي ‌وَ‌أَنَا‌ بَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍يءٌ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِم‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa '‍‍Ū‍‍ĥiya 'Ilá Nūĥin 'A‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u La‍‍n Yu'umina Mi‍‍n Qawmika 'Illā Ma‍‍n Qa‍‍d '‍‍Ā‍‍mana Falā Ta‍‍b‍‍ta'is Bimā Kānū Yaf`al‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a And it was revealed to Nüh: “None of your people will believe now, other than those who have already believed. So do not grieve at their evil deeds.[11.36]‌وَ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وحِيَ ‌إِلَى‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٍ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُُلَ‍‍نْ يُؤْمِنَ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَوْمِكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍دْ آمَنَ فَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍بْ‍‍تَئِسْ بِمَا‌ كَ‍انُوا يَفْعَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa A‍‍şna`i A‍‍l-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Wa Lā Tu‍‍kh‍‍āţi‍‍b‍‍nī Fī A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalam‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Mu‍‍gh‍‍raq‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Build an ark under Our supervision in accordance with Our revelation, and beware not to plead with Me on behalf of those who are wrongdoers: for they are all to be drowned in the flood."[11.37]‌وَ‌اصْنَعِ ‌الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَ‌وَحْيِنَا وَلاَ‌ تُخَاطِ‍‍بْ‍‍نِي فِي ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ‍‍مْ مُغْرَق‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Yaşna`u A‍‍l-Fulka Wa Kullamā Marra `Alayhi Mala'u‍‍n Mi‍‍n Qawmih‍‍i Sa‍‍kh‍‍irū Minhu Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'I‍‍n Tas‍‍kh‍‍arū Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍ā Nas‍‍kh‍‍aru Mi‍‍n‍‍ku‍‍m Kamā Tas‍‍kh‍‍ar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a So he started to build the ark; and whenever the chiefs of his people passed by him they laughed at him. He said: “Laugh at us now if you will, soon the time is going to come when we too will laugh at you as you are laughing at us.[11.38]‌وَيَصْنَعُ ‌الْفُلْكَ ‌وَكُلَّمَا‌ مَرَّ‌ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَوْمِهِ‍ِ‍‌ سَخِرُ‌وا مِنْهُ ق‍‍َالَ ‌إِ‌نْ تَسْخَرُ‌وا مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ فَإِنَّ‍ا‌ نَسْخَرُ‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ كَمَا‌ تَسْخَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Fasawfa Ta`lam‍‍ū‍‍na Ma‍‍n Ya't‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu‍‍n Yu‍‍kh‍‍z‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i Wa Yaĥillu `Alayhi `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu‍‍n Muq‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍un Soon you will come to know who will be seized by a humiliating scourge, and who is afflicted with everlasting punishment."[11.39]فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَ‍‍نْ يَأْت‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍‌ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ يُخْز‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ مُق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ
Ĥatt‍‍á 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍runā Wa F‍‍ā‍‍ra A‍‍t-Ta‍‍nn‍‍ū‍‍ru Qulnā A‍‍ĥmil Fīhā Mi‍‍n Kulli‍‍n Zawjayni A‍‍th‍‍nayni Wa 'Ahlaka 'Illā Ma‍‍n Sabaqa `Alayhi A‍‍l-Qawlu Wa Man '‍‍Ā‍‍mana Wa M‍‍ā '‍‍Ā‍‍mana Ma`ah‍‍u 'Illā Qal‍‍ī‍‍l‍‍un Finally when Our Command came and the water from Al-Tannür (a particular oven marked as a starting point to warn Nüh in order to get him ready to board the ark) gushed forth! We said to Nüh: “Take into the Ark a pair from every species, your family - except those against whom the Word has already gone forth - and the believers and those who believed with him were only a few."[11.40]حَتَّ‍‍ى إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا وَف‍‍َا‌رَ ‌ال‍‍تَّ‍‍نّ‍‍ُ‍و‌رُ‌ قُلْنَا‌ ‌احْمِلْ فِيهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ كُلٍّ ‌زَ‌وْجَيْنِ ‌اثْنَيْنِ ‌وَ‌أَهْلَكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍نْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ‌الْقَوْلُ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍نْ ‌آمَنَ ‌وَمَ‍ا آمَنَ مَعَهُ‍‍~ُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ قَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٌ
‌ Wa Q‍‍ā‍‍la A‍‍rkabū Fīhā Bismi A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Ma‍‍j‍‍rāhā Wa Mursāh‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbī La‍‍gh‍‍af‍‍ū‍‍ru‍‍n Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍un Thus he said: “Embark in it, in the name of Allah in whose hands is its sailing and its stopping; surely my Rabb is Forgiving, Merciful."[11.41]‌وَق‍‍َالَ ‌ا‌رْكَبُوا فِيهَا‌ بِسْمِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ مَ‍‍جْ‍‍رَ‌اهَا وَمُرْسَاهَ‍ا إِنَّ ‌رَبِّي لَغَف‍‍ُ‍و‌ر‌ٌ ‌رَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ
‌ Wa Hiya Ta‍‍j‍‍r‍‍ī Bihi‍‍m Fī Mawji‍‍n Kāljib‍‍ā‍‍li Wa Nādá Nūĥun A‍‍b‍‍nah‍‍u Wa K‍‍ā‍‍na Fī Ma`zili‍‍n Yā Bunayya A‍‍rka‍‍b Ma`anā Wa Lā Taku‍‍n Ma`a A‍‍l-Kāfi‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a As the ark floated with them on board over the mountainous waves and Nüh called out to his son, who stood apart: “O my son! Embark with us and be not with the unbelievers!”[11.42]‌وَهِيَ تَ‍‍جْ‍‍رِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْجٍ كَ‍الْجِب‍‍َالِ ‌وَنَا‌دَ‌ى‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٌ ‌ابْ‍‍نَهُُ‌وَك‍‍َانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَابُنَيَّ ‌ا‌رْكَ‍‍بْ مَعَنَا وَلاَ‌ تَكُ‍‍نْ مَعَ ‌الْكَافِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Sa'‍‍ā‍‍w‍‍ī 'Ilá Jabali‍‍n Ya`şimunī Mina A‍‍l-M‍‍ā‍‍'i Q‍‍ā‍‍la Lā `Āşima A‍‍l-Yawma Min 'A‍‍m‍‍r‍‍i A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i 'Illā Ma‍‍n Raĥima Wa Ĥ‍‍ā‍‍la Baynahumā A‍‍l-Mawju Fak‍‍ā‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Mu‍‍gh‍‍raq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a He replied: “I will take refuge on some mountain, which will save me from the flood." Nüh said: “None shall be secure today from the judgement of Allah, except the one on whom He has mercy!” And thereupon a wave came between them and he (Nüh’s son) became among one of those who drowned.[11.43]ق‍‍َالَ سَآ‌وِي ‌إِلَى‌ جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ ‌الْم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ق‍‍َالَ لاَ‌ عَاصِمَ ‌الْيَوْمَ مِنْ ‌أَمْ‍‍رِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‍نْ ‌رَحِمَ ‌وَح‍‍َالَ بَيْنَهُمَا‌ ‌الْمَوْجُ فَك‍‍َانَ مِنَ ‌الْمُغْرَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Q‍‍ī‍‍la Y‍‍ā 'Arđu A‍‍b‍‍la`ī M‍‍ā‍‍'aki Wa Yā Sam‍‍ā‍‍'u 'A‍‍q‍‍li`ī Wa Gh‍‍ī‍‍đa A‍‍l-M‍‍ā‍‍'u Wa Quđiya A‍‍l-'A‍‍m‍‍ru Wa A‍‍stawat `Alá A‍‍l-Jūd‍‍ī‍‍yi Wa Q‍‍ī‍‍la Bu`dāa‍‍n Lilqawmi A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Finally, Allah said: “O earth! Swallow up your water," and "O sky! Cease your rain." The floodwater abated and the judgement was carried out. The ark rested on Mount Al-Jüdi and it was said: “Gone are the wrongdoing people!”[11.44]‌وَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ يَا‌أَ‌رْضُ ‌ابْ‍‍لَعِي مَا‌ءَكِ ‌وَيَاسَم‍‍َا‌ءُ أَقْ‍‍لِعِي ‌وَغ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ضَ ‌الْم‍‍َا‌ءُ وَقُضِيَ ‌الأَمْرُ وَ‌اسْتَوَتْ عَلَى‌ ‌الْجُو‌دِيِّ ‌وَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ بُعْد‌اً لِلْقَوْمِ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Nādá Nūĥu‍‍n Rabbah‍‍u Faq‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi 'I‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍b‍‍nī Min 'Ahlī Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Wa`daka A‍‍l-Ĥaqqu Wa 'A‍‍n‍‍ta 'Aĥkamu A‍‍l-Ĥākim‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Nüh called out to his Rabb saying: “O my Rabb! My son is of my family, and surely Your promise is true and You are the most just of all Judges!”[11.45]‌وَنَا‌دَ‌ى‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وح ٌ ‌رَبَّهُُفَق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌إِنَّ ‌ابْ‍‍نِي مِنْ ‌أَهْلِي ‌وَ‌إِنَّ ‌وَعْدَكَ ‌الْحَقُّ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌أَحْكَمُ ‌الْحَاكِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā N‍‍ū‍‍ĥu 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Laysa Min 'Ahlika 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u `Amalun Gh‍‍ayru Şāliĥi‍‍n Falā Tas'alni Mā Laysa Laka Bih‍‍i `Ilmun 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A`ižuka 'A‍‍n Tak‍‍ū‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Jāhil‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Allah replied: “O Nüh! In fact he is not of your family; for he is not of righteous conduct. So do not ask Me anything of which you have no knowledge! I admonish you, lest you become one of the ignorant!” [11.46]ق‍‍َالَ يَان‍‍ُ‍وحُ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُلَيْسَ مِنْ ‌أَهْلِكَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُعَمَلٌ غَيْرُ‌ صَالِ‍‍حٍ فَلاَ‌ تَسْأَلْنِ مَا‌ لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ عِلْمٌ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَعِظُكَ ‌أَ‌نْ تَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْجَاهِل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Rabbi 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A`ū‍‍dh‍‍u Bika 'An 'As'alaka Mā Laysa Lī Bih‍‍i `Ilmu‍‍n Wa 'Illā Ta‍‍gh‍‍fir Lī Wa Tarĥa‍‍m‍‍n‍‍ī 'Aku‍‍n Mina A‍‍l-‍‍Kh‍‍āsi‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Nüh said: “My Rabb! I seek refuge in You for asking You that of which I have no knowledge; and unless You forgive me and have mercy on me, I shall surely be lost!”[11.47]ق‍‍َالَ ‌رَبِّ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَع‍‍ُ‍و‌ذُ‌ بِكَ ‌أَنْ ‌أَسْأَلَكَ مَا‌ لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ عِلْمٌ ‌وَ‌إِلاَّ‌ تَغْفِرْ‌ لِي ‌وَتَرْحَمْنِ‍‍ي ‌أَكُ‍‍نْ مِنَ ‌الْخَاسِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Q‍‍ī‍‍la Yā N‍‍ū‍‍ĥu A‍‍hbi‍‍ţ Bisal‍‍ā‍‍mi‍‍n Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Wa Barak‍‍ā‍‍tin `Alayka Wa `Al‍‍á 'Umami‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍a‍‍n Ma`aka Wa 'Umamu‍‍n Sanumatti`uhu‍‍m Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Yamassuhu‍‍m Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bun 'Al‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍un It was said: “O Nüh! Disembark (from the ark) with Our peace and blessings on you and on the peoples who are with you. As for other people, We shall grant them the provisions of life for some time, and if they do not behave righteously, then they shall have a painful punishment from Us."[11.48]ق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ يَا‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وحُ ‌اهْبِ‍‍طْ بِسَلاَمٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا وَبَرَك‍‍َاتٍ عَلَيْكَ ‌وَعَلَ‍‍ى‌ ‌أُمَمٍ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍نْ مَعَكَ ‌وَ‌أُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُ‍‍مَّ يَمَسُّهُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا‌ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ ‌أَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ
Tilka Min 'A‍n‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'i A‍‍l-‍‍Gh‍‍aybi Nūĥīh‍‍ā 'Ilayka Mā Ku‍‍n‍‍ta Ta`lamuh‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta Wa Lā Qawmuka Mi‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍li Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā Fāşbir 'I‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-`Āqibata Lilmuttaq‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a O Muhammad, these are some of the facts from the unseen history which We have now revealed to you: neither you nor your people knew about it before. So have patience; surely the end is for the righteous.[11.49]تِلْكَ مِنْ ‌أَنْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَ‍ا إِلَيْكَ مَا‌ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ تَعْلَمُهَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌وَلاَ‌ قَوْمُكَ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِ هَذَ‌ا‌ فَ‍اصْبِرْ إِنَّ ‌العَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa 'Ilá `‍‍Ā‍‍din 'A‍‍kh‍‍āhu‍‍m Hūdāa‍‍n Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi A‍‍`budū A‍‍l-Laha Mā Laku‍‍m Min 'Ilahin Gh‍‍ayruh‍‍u 'In 'A‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m 'Illā Muftar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a To the people of ‘Ad We sent their brother Hüd. He said: “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no god but Him; otherwise you are just making things up.[11.50]‌وَ‌إِلَى‌ ع‍‍َا‌دٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُو‌د‌اً ق‍‍َالَ يَاقَوْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ مَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِلَهٍ‍ٍ‍‌ غَيْرُهُ‍‍~ُ ‌إِنْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مُفْتَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
Yā Qawmi L‍‍ā 'As'aluku‍‍m `Alayhi 'A‍‍j‍‍rāan 'In 'A‍‍j‍‍r‍‍iya 'Illā `Alá A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī Faţaran‍‍ī 'Afalā Ta`qil‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a O my people! I do not ask you any reward for my services; for none can reward me except my Creator. Will you not then use your common sense?[11.51]يَا‌ قَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌اً ‌إِنْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌الَّذِي فَطَرَنِ‍‍ي ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَعْقِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Yā Qawmi A‍‍sta‍‍gh‍‍firū Rabbaku‍‍m Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Tūb‍‍ū 'Ilayhi Yursili A‍‍s-Sam‍‍ā‍‍'a `Alayku‍‍m Mi‍‍d‍‍rārāa‍‍n Wa Yazi‍‍d‍‍ku‍‍m Qūwatan 'Ilá Qūwatiku‍‍m Wa Lā Tatawallaw Mu‍‍j‍‍r‍‍im‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a And O my people! Seek forgiveness of your Rabb and turn to Him in repentance. He will send you from the sky abundant rain and He will add strength to your strength. So do not turn away like criminals." [11.52]‌وَيَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌اسْتَغْفِرُ‌وا ‌رَبَّكُمْ ثُ‍‍مَّ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ عَلَيْكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‍دْ‌رَ‌ا‌ر‌اً ‌وَيَزِ‌دْكُمْ قُوَّةً ‌إِلَى‌ قُوَّتِكُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَتَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ مُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Qālū Yā H‍‍ū‍‍du Mā Ji'tanā Bibayyinati‍‍n Wa Mā Naĥnu Bitā‍‍r‍‍ik‍‍ī '‍‍Ā‍‍lihatinā `A‍‍n Qawlika Wa Mā Naĥnu Laka Bimu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a They said: “O Hüd! You have given us no clear proof. We are neither going to desert our gods just on your word, nor we are going to believe in you.[11.53]قَالُوا يَا‌ ه‍‍ُ‍و‌دُ‌ مَا‌ جِئْتَنَا‌ بِبَيِّنَةٍ ‌وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ بِتَا‌رِكِ‍‍ي ‌آلِهَتِنَا‌ عَ‍‌‍نْ قَوْلِكَ ‌وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'I‍‍n Naq‍‍ū‍‍lu 'Illā A‍‍`tar‍‍ā‍‍ka Ba`đu '‍‍Ā‍‍lihatinā Bis‍‍ū‍‍'i‍‍n Q‍‍ā‍‍la 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'U‍‍sh‍‍/hidu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa A‍‍sh‍‍/had‍‍ū 'A‍‍nn‍‍ī Ba‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍'u‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Tu‍‍sh‍‍r‍‍ik‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a We rather believe that perhaps some of our gods have afflicted you with evil." He said: “Allah is my witness and let you also be my witness that I am done with your shirk of worshipping other deities besides Him.[11.54]‌إِنْ نَق‍‍ُ‍ولُ ‌إِلاَّ ‌اعْتَر‍َ‍‌اكَ بَعْضُ ‌آلِهَتِنَا‌ بِس‍‍ُ‍و‌ء‌‌ٍ ق‍‍َالَ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أُشْهِدُ‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَ‌اشْهَدُ‌وا ‌أَنِّ‍‍ي بَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍يءٌ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تُشْ‍‍رِك‍‍ُ‍ونَ
Mi‍‍n Dūnih‍‍i Fakīdūnī Jamī`āa‍‍n Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Lā Tu‍‍n‍‍žir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍i So let all of you scheme against me if you will, and give me no respite.[11.55]مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌دُ‌ونِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَكِيدُ‌ونِي جَمِيعاً ثُ‍‍مَّ لاَ‌ تُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍ظِر‍ُ‍‌ونِ
'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Tawakkaltu `Alá A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Rabbī Wa Rabbiku‍‍m Mā Mi‍‍n D‍‍ā‍‍bbatin 'Illā Huwa '‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍i‍‍dh‍‍u‍n‍ Bināşiyatih‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbī `Alá Şirāţi‍‍n Mustaq‍‍ī‍‍m‍‍in I have put my trust in Allah, Who is my Rabb and your Rabb. There is no living creature (in the earth) whose destiny is not controlled by Him. Indeed straight is the Way of my Rabb.[11.56]‌إِنِّ‍‍ي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌رَبِّي ‌وَ‌رَبِّكُ‍‍مْ مَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍َ‍‌ابَّةٍ ‌إِلاَّ‌ هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَ‍ا إِنَّ ‌رَبِّي عَلَى‌ صِر‍َ‍‌اطٍ مُسْتَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ
Fa'i‍‍n Tawallaw Faqa‍‍d 'A‍‍b‍‍la‍‍gh‍‍tuku‍‍m M‍‍ā 'Ursiltu Bih‍‍i 'Ilayku‍‍m Wa Yasta‍‍kh‍‍lifu Rabbī Qawmāan Gh‍‍ayraku‍‍m Wa Lā Tađurrūnah‍‍u Sh‍‍ay'‍‍ā‍‍an 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbī `Alá Kulli Sh‍‍ay'in Ĥafīž‍‍un Now, even if you turn away, I have at least conveyed the message with which I was sent to you. Since you have denied Him, my Rabb will raise up some other people in your place, and you cannot harm Him in any way. Indeed my Rabb is watching over everything."[11.57]فَإِ‌نْ تَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ فَقَ‍‍دْ أَبْ‍‍لَغْتُكُ‍‍مْ مَ‍ا أُ‌رْسِلْتُ بِهِ ‌إِلَيْكُمْ ‌وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ ‌رَبِّي قَوْماً‌ غَيْرَكُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَضُرُّ‌ونَهُُشَيْئاً ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبِّي عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ‌ حَف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ظٌ
‌ Wa La‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍runā Najjaynā Hūdāa‍‍n Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na '‍‍Ā‍‍manū Ma`ah‍‍u Biraĥmati‍‍n Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Wa Najjaynāhu‍‍m Min `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bin Gh‍‍alīž‍‍in When Our judgement came to pass, We saved Hüd and those who believed with him through a special grace from Us - We did save them from a horrifying scourge.[11.58]‌وَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ نَجَّيْنَا‌ هُو‌د‌اً ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا مَعَهُُبِرَحْمَةٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ‍‍مْ مِنْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٍ غَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ظٍ
‌ Wa Tilka `‍‍Ā‍‍du‍‍n Jaĥadū Bi'‍‍ā‍‍y‍‍ā‍‍ti Rabbihi‍‍m Wa `Aşaw Rusulah‍‍u Wa A‍‍ttaba`‍‍ū 'A‍‍m‍‍ra Kulli Jabb‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍in `An‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍in Such were the people of 'Ad. They denied the revelations of their Rabb, disobeyed His Rasool, and followed the command of every stubborn oppressor. [11.59]‌وَتِلْكَ ع‍‍َا‌دٌ جَحَدُ‌وا بِآي‍‍َاتِ ‌رَبِّهِمْ ‌وَعَصَوْ‌ا رُسُلَهُُ‌وَ‌اتَّبَعُ‍‍وا ‌أَمْرَ‌ كُلِّ جَبّ‍‍َا‌رٍ‌ عَن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍د‌ٍ
‌ Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Ha‍‍dh‍‍ihi A‍‍d-Du‍‍n‍‍yā La`nata‍‍n Wa Yawma A‍‍l-Qiyāmati 'Al‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍a `Ādāa‍‍n Kafarū Rabbahu‍‍m 'Alā Bu`dāa‍‍n Li`‍‍ā‍‍di‍‍n Qawmi H‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍in They were followed by a curse in this world, and cursed they shall be on the Day of Resurrection. Beware! 'Ad denied their Rabb. Beware! Gone are 'Ad, the people of Hüd.[11.60]‌وَ‌أُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِهِ ‌ال‍‍دُّنْ‍‍يَا‌ لَعْنَةً ‌وَيَوْمَ ‌الْقِيَامَةِ ‌أَلاَ إِنَّ عَا‌د‌اً كَفَرُ‌وا ‌رَبَّهُمْ ‌أَلاَ‌ بُعْد‌اً لِع‍‍َا‌د‌‌ٍ قَوْمِ ه‍‍ُ‍و‌د‌ٍ
‌ Wa 'Ilá Th‍‍am‍‍ū‍‍da 'A‍‍kh‍‍āhu‍‍m Şāliĥāa‍‍n Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi A‍‍`budū A‍‍l-Laha Mā Laku‍‍m Min 'Ilahin Gh‍‍ayru‍‍hu Huwa 'A‍‍n‍‍sh‍‍a'aku‍‍m Mina A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa A‍‍sta`maraku‍‍m Fīhā Fāsta‍‍gh‍‍fir‍‍ū‍‍h‍‍u Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Tūb‍‍ū 'Ilayhi 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbī Qa‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍bu‍‍n Muj‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍un To the Thamüd people, We sent their brother Saleh. He said: “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no god but Him. It is He Who created you from the earth and made it a dwelling place for you. So seek forgiveness from Him and turn to Him in repentance. Surely my Rabb is very close, ready to answer."[11.61]‌وَ‌إِلَى‌ ثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِ‍‍حاً ق‍‍َالَ يَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ مَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِلَهٍ‍ٍ‍‌ غَيْرُهُُهُوَ أَ‌ن‍‍شَأَكُ‍‍مْ مِنَ ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَ‌اسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا‌ فَ‍اسْتَغْفِر‍ُ‍‌وهُُثُ‍‍مَّ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَيْهِ ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبِّي قَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍بٌ مُج‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌‍ٌ
Qālū Yā Şāliĥu Qa‍‍d Ku‍‍n‍‍ta Fīnā Marjūwāa‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍la Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'Atanhān‍‍ā 'A‍‍n Na`buda Mā Ya`budu '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'uunā Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍anā Lafī Sh‍‍akki‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Ta‍‍d‍‍`ūn‍‍ā 'Ilayhi Mu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍in They said: “O Saleh! Till now you were the one in whom we had great expectations! Would you now forbid us the worship of what our forefathers worshipped? Indeed, we strongly doubt that to which you are calling us."[11.62]قَالُوا يَا‌ صَالِ‍‍حُ قَ‍‍دْ‌ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ فِينَا‌ مَرْجُوّ‌اً قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لَ هَذَ‌ا أَتَنْهَانَ‍ا أَنْ نَعْبُدَ‌ مَا‌ يَعْبُدُ آبَا‌ؤُنَا وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍نَا‌ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَ‍‍دْعُونَ‍ا إِلَيْهِ مُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌ٍ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytu‍‍m 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu `Alá Bayyinati‍‍n Mi‍‍n Rabbī Wa '‍‍Ā‍‍tānī Minhu Raĥmata‍‍n Fama‍‍n Ya‍‍n‍‍şurunī Mina A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i 'In `Aşaytuh‍‍u Famā Tazīdūnanī Gh‍‍ayra Ta‍‍kh‍‍s‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍‍‍in He said: “O my people! Tell me, if I have a clear proof from my Rabb and He has granted me mercy from Himself - who then will help me against Allah if I disobey Him? What would you add other than to make me lose even more?[11.63]ق‍‍َالَ يَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌أَ‌رَ‌أَيْتُمْ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‍نْ ‌رَبِّي ‌وَ‌آتَانِي مِنْهُ ‌رَحْمَةً فَمَ‍‍نْ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍صُرُنِي مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُُفَمَا‌ تَزِيدُ‌ونَنِي غَيْرَ‌ تَخْس‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ر‌‌ٍ
‌ Wa Yā Qawmi Ha‍‍dh‍‍ihi Nāqatu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Laku‍‍m '‍‍Ā‍‍yata‍‍n Fa‍‍dh‍‍arūhā Ta'kul F‍‍ī 'Arđi A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bis‍‍ū‍‍'i‍‍n Faya'‍‍kh‍‍u‍‍dh‍‍aku‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu‍‍n Qa‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍un And O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a sign for you. Leave her to pasture on Allah’s earth and do not molest her lest a swift scourge should fall upon you!”[11.64]‌وَيَا‌ قَوْمِ هَذِهِ‍ِ‍‌ نَاقَةُ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ لَكُمْ ‌آيَةً فَذَ‌رُ‌وهَا‌ تَأْكُلْ فِ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌رْضِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَمَسُّوهَا‌ بِس‍‍ُ‍و‌ء‌‌ٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ قَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌‍ٌ
Fa`aqarūhā Faq‍‍ā‍‍la Tamatta`ū Fī Dā‍‍r‍‍iku‍‍m Th‍‍alā‍‍th‍‍ata 'Ayy‍‍ā‍‍mi‍‍n Dh‍‍ālika Wa`dun Gh‍‍ayru Mak‍‍dh‍‍ū‍‍b‍‍in But, even after the warning, they hamstring her. So he said: “You have but three days to enjoy your homes, that is a promise which will not be repudiated!”[11.65]فَعَقَرُ‌وهَا‌ فَق‍‍َالَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِي ‌دَ‌ا‌رِكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ ‌أَيّ‍‍َامٍ ‌ذَلِكَ ‌وَعْدٌ‌ غَيْرُ‌ مَكْذ‍ُ‍‌وب‌ٍ
Fala‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍runā Najjaynā Şāliĥāa‍‍n Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na '‍‍Ā‍‍manū Ma`ah‍‍u Biraĥmati‍‍n Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Wa Min Kh‍‍izyi Yawmi'i‍‍dh‍‍in 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Huwa A‍‍l-Qaw‍‍ī‍‍yu A‍‍l-`Az‍‍ī‍‍z‍‍u When Our Judgement came to pass, We saved Saleh and those who believed with him through a special grace from Us, from the disgrace of that Day. Indeed your Rabb is All-Strong, All-Mighty.[11.66]فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ نَجَّيْنَا‌ صَالِ‍‍حاً ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا مَعَهُُبِرَحْمَةٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا وَمِنْ خِزْيِ يَوْمِئِذ‌‌ٍ ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ هُوَ ‌الْقَوِيُّ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌
‌ Wa 'A‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍a A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalamū A‍‍ş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyā‍‍r‍‍ihi‍‍m Jā‍‍th‍‍im‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a A terrible blast overtook the wrongdoers and by the morning they were laying with their faces down in their homes,[11.67]‌وَ‌أَخَذَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي ‌دِيَا‌رِهِمْ جَاثِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Ka'a‍‍n La‍‍m Ya‍‍gh‍‍naw Fīh‍‍ā 'Al‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Th‍‍am‍‍ū‍‍da Kafarū Rabbahu‍‍m 'Alā Bu`dāa‍‍n Li‍‍th‍‍am‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍a as if they had never flourished there. Beware! Thamüd denied their Rabb. Gone are the people of Thamüd.[11.68]كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْ‌ا‌ فِيهَ‍ا أَلاَ إِنَّ ثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دَ‌ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌رَبَّهُمْ ‌أَلاَ‌ بُعْد‌اً لِثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دَ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d J‍‍ā‍‍'at Rusulun‍‍ā 'I‍‍b‍‍rāh‍‍ī‍‍ma Bil-Bu‍‍sh‍‍rá Qālū Salāmāa‍‍n Q‍‍ā‍‍la Sal‍‍ā‍‍mu‍‍n Famā Labi‍‍th‍‍a 'A‍‍n J‍‍ā‍‍'a Bi`i‍‍j‍‍lin Ĥanī‍‍dh‍‍in Our Messengers came to Ibrمhïm (Abraham) with good news. They said “Peace be upon you." He answered “Peace be upon you too,” and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.[11.69]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ‌ جَا‌ءَتْ ‌رُسُلُنَ‍ا إِبْ‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ بِ‍الْبُشْرَ‌ى‌ قَالُ‍‍وا سَلاَماً ق‍‍َالَ سَلاَمٌ فَمَا‌ لَبِثَ ‌أَ‌نْ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ بِعِ‍‍جْ‍‍لٍ حَن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ذ‌‌ٍ
Fala‍‍mm‍‍ā Ra'‍‍á 'Aydiyahu‍‍m Lā Taşilu 'Ilayhi Nakirahu‍‍m Wa 'Awjasa Minhu‍‍m Kh‍‍īfata‍‍n Qālū Lā Ta‍‍kh‍‍af 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā 'Ursiln‍‍ā 'Ilá Qawmi Lūţ‍‍in But when he saw their hands were not extended towards it, he felt uneasy with them and started to be afraid of them. They said: “Do not fear. We have been sent to the people of Lüt."[11.70]فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا رَ‌أَ‌ى‌ ‌أَيْدِيَهُمْ لاَ‌ تَصِلُ ‌إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ ‌وَ‌أَ‌وْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُ‍‍وا لاَ‌ تَخَفْ ‌إِنَّ‍ا أُ‌رْسِلْنَ‍ا إِلَى‌ قَوْمِ ل‍‍ُ‍وط‌ٍ
‌ Wa A‍‍m‍‍ra'atuhu Q‍‍ā‍‍'imatu‍‍n Fađaĥikat Faba‍‍sh‍‍sh‍‍arnāhā Bi'isĥ‍‍ā‍‍qa Wa Mi‍‍n War‍‍ā‍‍'i 'Isĥ‍‍ā‍‍qa Ya`q‍‍ū‍‍b‍‍a His wife, who was standing there, laughed when We gave her good news of Allah's giving her a son Ishمq (Isaac) and after him a grandson Ya'qoob (Jacob).[11.71]‌وَ‌امْرَ‌أَتُهُُقَائِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا‌ بِإِسْح‍‍َاقَ ‌وَمِ‍‍نْ ‌وَ‌ر‍َ‌اءِ إِسْح‍‍َاقَ يَعْق‍‍ُ‍وبَ
Qālat Yā Waylat‍‍ā 'A'alidu Wa 'Anā `Aj‍‍ū‍‍zu‍‍n Wa Ha‍‍dh‍‍ā Ba`lī Sh‍‍ay‍‍kh‍‍āan 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā La‍‍sh‍‍ay'un `Aj‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍un She said: “O wonder! (An expression to indicate surprise) Shall I bear a child now when I have become an old woman and my husband has become well advanced in age? This is indeed a strange thing!” [11.72]قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَ‍ا أَ‌أَلِدُ وَ‌أَنَا‌ عَج‍‍ُ‍و‌زٌ ‌وَهَذَ‌ا‌ بَعْلِي شَيْخاً ‌إِنَّ هَذَ‌ا‌ لَشَيْءٌ‌ عَج‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌‍ٌ
Qāl‍‍ū 'Ata`jab‍‍ī‍‍na Min 'A‍‍m‍‍r‍‍i A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Raĥmatu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa Barakātuh‍‍u `Alayku‍‍m 'Ahla A‍‍l-Bayti 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu Ĥam‍‍ī‍‍du‍‍n Maj‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍un They said: “Do you wonder at Allah’s decree? May Allah’s mercy and His blessings be upon you, O residents of the household; for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory."[11.73]قَالُ‍‍وا ‌أَتَعْجَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مِنْ ‌أَمْ‍‍رِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌رَحْمَةُ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَبَرَكَاتُهُُعَلَيْكُمْ ‌أَهْلَ ‌الْبَيْتِ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُحَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ مَج‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ
Fala‍‍mm‍‍ā Dh‍‍ahaba `An 'I‍‍b‍‍rāh‍‍ī‍‍ma A‍‍r-Raw`u Wa J‍‍ā‍‍'at/hu A‍‍l-Bu‍‍sh‍‍rá Yujādilunā Fī Qawmi Lūţ‍‍in When the fear of Ibrمhïm was gone as the good news (of his son and grand son) came to him, he began to plead with Us for the people of Lüt.[11.74]فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا ذَهَبَ عَ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِبْ‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ ‌ال‍‍رَّ‌وْعُ ‌وَجَا‌ءَتْهُ ‌الْبُشْرَ‌ى‌ يُجَا‌دِلُنَا‌ فِي قَوْمِ ل‍‍ُ‍وط‌ٍ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a 'I‍‍b‍‍rāh‍‍ī‍‍ma Laĥal‍‍ī‍‍mun 'Aww‍‍ā‍‍hu‍‍n Mun‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍un Indeed Ibrمhïm was forbearing, tenderhearted and devout.[11.75]‌إِنَّ ‌إِبْ‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ لَحَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ ‌أَ‌وّ‍َ‍‌اه ٌٌ مُن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌‍ٌ
Y‍‍ā 'I‍‍b‍‍rāh‍‍ī‍‍mu 'A`‍‍r‍‍iđ `An Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Qa‍‍d J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍ru Rabbika Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m '‍‍Ā‍‍tīhi‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bun Gh‍‍ayru Mard‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍in The angels said: "O Ibrمhïm! Leave this topic. The decree of your Rabb has already been issued, now there must come to them a punishment that cannot be averted!"[11.76]يَ‍ا إِبْ‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ ‌أَعْ‍‍رِضْ عَنْ هَذَ‌ا إِنَّ‍‍هُُقَ‍‍دْ‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌آتِيهِمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ غَيْرُ‌ مَرْ‌د‍ُ‍‌و‌د‌ٍ
‌ Wa La‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'at Rusulunā Lūţāa‍‍n S‍‍ī‍‍'a Bihi‍‍m Wa Đ‍‍ā‍‍qa Bihi‍‍m Dh‍‍ar`āa‍‍n Wa Q‍‍ā‍‍la Hā‍‍dh‍‍ā Yawmun `Aş‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍un When Our messengers, in the form of beautiful young men, came to Lüt, he became upset about them, for he felt helpless to offer them protection against his nation’s many violent homosexual men. He said: “This is a critical day."[11.77]‌وَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ جَا‌ءَتْ ‌رُسُلُنَا‌ لُوطاً س‍‍ِ‍يءَ‌ بِهِمْ ‌وَض‍‍َاقَ بِهِمْ ‌ذَ‌رْعاً ‌وَق‍‍َالَ هَذَ‌ا‌ يَوْمٌ عَص‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌‍ٌ
‌ Wa J‍‍ā‍‍'ah‍‍u Qawmuh‍‍u Yuhra`‍‍ū‍‍na 'Ilayhi Wa Mi‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍lu Kānū Ya`mal‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍s-Sayyi'‍‍ā‍‍ti Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi H‍‍ā‍‍'uul‍‍ā‍‍' Banātī Hu‍‍nn‍‍a 'A‍‍ţ‍‍haru Laku‍‍m Fa A‍‍ttaqū A‍‍l-Lah‍‍a Wa Lā Tu‍‍kh‍‍zūnī Fī Đayf‍‍ī 'Alaysa Mi‍‍n‍‍ku‍‍m Rajulu‍‍n Ra‍‍sh‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍un No sooner did the guests come to him than his people, long addicted to evil practices, came rushing towards him. He said: “O my people! Here are my daughters - they are purer for you. Now, fear Allah and do not humiliate me by insulting my guests. Is there not even one good man among you?”[11.78]‌وَجَا‌ءَهُُقَوْمُهُُيُهْرَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌إِلَيْهِ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ كَ‍انُوا يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتِ ق‍‍َالَ يَا‌ قَوْمِ هَا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ بَنَاتِي هُ‍‍نَّ ‌أَطْ‍‍هَرُ‌ لَكُمْ فَ‍اتَّقُوا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ ‌وَلاَ‌ تُخْزُ‌ونِي فِي ضَيْفِ‍‍ي ‌أَلَيْسَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌رَجُل ٌ ‌رَش‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ
Qālū Laqa‍‍d `Ali‍‍m‍‍ta Mā Lanā Fī Banātika Min Ĥaqqi‍‍n Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍aka Lata`lamu Mā Nu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍u They said: “Well you know, we have no right to your daughters. You know fully well what we want."[11.79]قَالُوا لَقَ‍‍دْ‌ عَلِمْتَ مَا‌ لَنَا‌ فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍كَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا‌ نُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Law 'A‍‍nn‍‍a Lī Biku‍‍m Qūwatan 'Aw '‍‍Ā‍‍w‍‍ī 'Ilá Rukni‍‍n Sh‍‍ad‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍in He said: “I wish I had power to suppress you or could find some powerful support."[11.80]ق‍‍َالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً ‌أَ‌وْ آ‌وِي ‌إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَد‍ِ‍ي‍‍د‌ٍ
Qālū Yā L‍‍ū‍‍ţu 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Rusulu Rabbika La‍‍n Yaşil‍‍ū 'Ilayka Fa'as‍‍r‍‍i Bi'ahlika Biqi‍‍ţ‍‍`i‍‍n Mina A‍‍l-Layli Wa Lā Yaltafit Mi‍‍n‍‍ku‍‍m 'Aĥadun 'Illā A‍‍m‍‍ra'ataka 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Muşībuhā M‍‍ā 'Aşābahu‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Maw`idahumu A‍‍ş-Şu‍‍b‍‍ĥu 'Alaysa A‍‍ş-Şu‍‍b‍‍ĥu Biqa‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍in The messengers said: “O Lüt! We are the messengers of your Rabb. They will not be able to harm you. Now, take your family and get out of this town while yet a part of the night remains - and let none of you turn back - except your wife, who should be left behind. She will face the same fate as they. Their scheduled time of doom is the morning. Is not the morning very close?”[11.81]قَالُوا يَا‌ ل‍‍ُ‍وطُ ‌إِنَّ‍ا رُسُلُ ‌رَبِّكَ لَ‍‍نْ يَصِلُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَيْكَ فَأَسْ‍‍رِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِ‍‍طْ‍‍عٍ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّيْلِ ‌وَلاَ‌ يَلْتَفِتْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌أَحَدٌ ‌إِلاَّ ‌امْرَ‌أَتَكَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُمُصِيبُهَا‌ مَ‍ا أَصَابَهُمْ ‌إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍صُّ‍‍بْ‍‍حُ ‌أَلَيْسَ ‌ال‍‍صُّ‍‍بْ‍‍حُ بِقَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌ٍ
Fala‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍runā Ja`alnā `Āliyahā Sāfilahā Wa 'A‍‍m‍‍ţarnā `Alayhā Ĥijārata‍‍n Mi‍‍n Sijj‍‍ī‍‍li‍‍n Ma‍‍n‍‍đ‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍in When Our Judgement came to pass, We turned the cities upside down and rained down on them brimstones of baked clay, layer upon layer,[11.82]فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ جَعَلْنَا‌ عَالِ‍‍يَهَا‌ سَافِلَهَا وَ‌أَمْطَرْنَا‌ عَلَيْهَا‌ حِجَا‌رَةً مِ‍‌‍نْ سِجّ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٍ مَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍ض‍‍ُ‍و‌د‌ٍ
Musawwamatan `I‍‍n‍‍da Rabbika Wa Mā Hiya Mina A‍‍ž-Žālim‍‍ī‍‍na Biba`‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍in specially marked by your Rabb. Such scourge is not far off from the wrongdoers![11.83]مُسَوَّمَةً عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَ رَبِّكَ ‌وَمَا‌ هِيَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍ظَّالِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ بِبَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍د‌ٍ
‌ Wa 'Ilá Ma‍‍d‍‍yana 'A‍‍kh‍‍āhu‍‍m Sh‍‍u`aybāa‍‍n Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi A‍‍`budū A‍‍l-Laha Mā Laku‍‍m Min 'Ilahin Gh‍‍ayruh‍‍u Wa Lā Ta‍‍n‍‍quşū A‍‍l-Mikyā La Wa A‍‍l-Mīz‍‍ā‍‍na 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'Arāku‍‍m Bi‍‍kh‍‍ay‍‍r‍‍i‍‍n Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī 'A‍‍kh‍‍ā‍‍fu `Alayku‍‍m `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba Yawmi‍‍n Muĥīţ‍‍in To the people of Median We sent their brother Shu’aib. He said: “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no god but Him. Do not give short measure and weight. Although I see you in prosperity today, I fear for you the scourge of a Day that will encircle you.[11.84]‌وَ‌إِلَى‌ مَ‍‍دْيَنَ ‌أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْباً ق‍‍َالَ يَاقَوْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ مَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌إِلَهٍ‍ٍ‍‌ غَيْرُهُُ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‌‍ن‍‍قُصُوا ‌الْمِكْي‍‍َالَ ‌وَ‌الْمِيز‍َ‍‌انَ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌رَ‌اكُ‍‍مْ بِخَيْر‌ٍ ‌وَ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَخ‍‍َافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَوْمٍ مُح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ط‌ٍ
‌ Wa Yā Qawmi 'Awfū A‍‍l-Miky‍‍ā‍‍la Wa A‍‍l-Mīz‍‍ā‍‍na Bil-Qisţi Wa Lā Ta‍‍b‍‍kh‍‍asū A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍sa 'A‍‍sh‍‍y‍‍ā‍‍'ahu‍‍m Wa Lā Ta`‍‍th‍‍aw Fī A‍‍l-'Arđi Mufsid‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a O my people! Give full measure and weight in all fairness. Do not defraud people of their goods and do not spread mischief in the land.[11.85]‌وَيَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌أَ‌وْفُوا ‌الْمِكْي‍‍َالَ ‌وَ‌الْمِيز‍َ‍‌انَ بِ‍الْقِسْطِ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍بْ‍‍خَسُوا ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسَ ‌أَشْيَا‌ءَهُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَعْثَوْ‌ا‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ مُفْسِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Baqīyatu A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Kh‍‍ayru‍‍n Laku‍‍m 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu‍‍m Mu'umin‍‍ī‍‍na Wa M‍‍ā 'Anā `Alayku‍‍m Biĥafīž‍‍in What remains with Allah is better for you if you are true believers, and I am not set up as a guardian over you." [11.86]بَقِيَّةُ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ خَيْر‌ٌ لَكُمْ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ‍‍مْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌وَمَ‍ا أَنَا‌ عَلَيْكُ‍‍مْ بِحَف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ظٍ
Qālū Yā Sh‍‍u`aybu 'Aşalātuka Ta'muruka 'A‍‍n Natruka Mā Ya`budu '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'uun‍‍ā 'Aw 'A‍‍n Naf`ala F‍‍ī 'A‍‍m‍‍wālinā Mā Na‍‍sh‍‍ā‍‍'u 'I‍‍nn‍‍aka La'a‍‍n‍‍ta A‍‍l-Ĥal‍‍ī‍‍mu A‍‍r-Ra‍‍sh‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍u They said: “Oh Shu’aib! Does your Salah (prayer) command you that we give up all those deities whom our forefathers worshipped or that we have no right of doing what we like with our own goods? For sure, you are the only gracious and righteous man left in the land!”[11.87]قَالُوا يَا‌ شُعَيْبُ ‌أَصَلاَتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ ‌أَنْ نَتْرُكَ مَا‌ يَعْبُدُ آبَا‌ؤُنَ‍ا أَ‌وْ أَنْ نَفْعَلَ فِ‍‍ي ‌أَمْوَ‌الِنَا‌ مَا‌ نَش‍‍َا‌ءُ إِنَّ‍‍كَ لَأَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌الْحَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ ‌ال‍‍رَّش‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytu‍‍m 'I‍‍n Ku‍‍n‍‍tu `Alá Bayyinati‍‍n Mi‍‍n Rabbī Wa Razaqanī Minhu R‍‍izqāan Ĥasanāa‍‍n Wa M‍‍ā 'U‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍du 'An 'U‍‍kh‍‍ālifaku‍‍m 'Ilá M‍‍ā 'Anhāku‍‍m `Anhu 'In 'U‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍du 'Illā A‍‍l-'Işl‍‍ā‍‍ĥa Mā A‍‍staţa`tu Wa Mā Tawfīq‍‍ī 'Illā Bil-Lah‍‍i `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa 'Ilayhi 'Un‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍u He said: “O my people! You see, if I have a clear sign from my Rabb and He has given me good sustenance from Himself how can I, then, be a party to your evil and unlawful practices? I do not want to oppose you in what I am forbidding you. I desire nothing but to reform so far as I can manage. My success in this task depends entirely on the help of Allah; in Him do I trust and to Him do I turn for everything.[11.88]ق‍‍َالَ يَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌أَ‌رَ‌أَيْتُمْ ‌إِ‌نْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‍نْ ‌رَبِّي ‌وَ‌رَ‌زَقَنِي مِنْهُ ‌رِ‌زْقاً‌ حَسَ‍‌‍ن‍اً ‌وَمَ‍ا أُ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ أَنْ ‌أُخَالِفَكُمْ ‌إِلَى‌ مَ‍ا أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ ‌إِنْ ‌أُ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ إِلاَّ ‌الإِصْلاَحَ مَا‌ ‌اسْتَطَعْتُ ‌وَمَا‌ تَوْفِيقِ‍‍ي ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِ‍ال‍‍لَّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ‌وَ‌إِلَيْهِ ‌أُن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍بُ
‌ Wa Yā Qawmi Lā Ya‍‍j‍‍r‍‍ima‍‍nn‍‍aku‍‍m Sh‍‍iqāq‍‍ī 'A‍‍n Yuşībaku‍‍m Mi‍‍th‍‍lu M‍‍ā 'Aş‍‍ā‍‍ba Qawma Nūĥin 'Aw Qawma H‍‍ū‍‍din 'Aw Qawma Şāliĥi‍‍n Wa Mā Qawmu Lūţi‍‍n Mi‍‍n‍‍ku‍‍m Biba`‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍in O my people! Let not my dispute with you bring upon you the doom similar to that of the people of Nüh or of Hüd or of Saleh, nor are the people of Lüt far off from you; [11.89]‌وَيَا‌ قَوْمِ لاَ‌ يَ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمَ‍‍نَّ‍‍كُمْ شِقَاقِ‍‍ي ‌أَنْ يُصِيبَكُ‍‍مْ مِثْلُ مَ‍ا أَص‍‍َابَ قَوْمَ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٍ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ قَوْمَ ه‍‍ُ‍و‌دٍ أَ‌وْ‌ قَوْمَ صَالِ‍‍حٍ ‌وَمَا‌ قَوْمُ ل‍‍ُ‍وطٍ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُ‍‍مْ بِبَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍د‌ٍ
‌ Wa A‍‍sta‍‍gh‍‍firū Rabbaku‍‍m Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Tūb‍‍ū 'Ilayhi 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbī Raĥ‍‍ī‍‍mu‍‍n Wad‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍un seek forgiveness of your Rabb and turn to Him in repentance; for my Rabb is indeed Merciful, Affectionate."[11.90]‌وَ‌اسْتَغْفِرُ‌وا ‌رَبَّكُمْ ثُ‍‍مَّ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَيْهِ ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبِّي ‌رَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ ‌وَ‌د‍ُ‍‌و‌دٌ
Qālū Yā Sh‍‍u`aybu Mā Nafqah‍‍u Ka‍‍th‍‍īrāa‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Taq‍‍ū‍‍lu Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Lanar‍‍ā‍‍ka Fīnā Đa`īfāa‍‍n Wa Lawlā Rahţuka Laraja‍‍m‍‍n‍‍ā‍‍ka Wa M‍‍ā 'A‍‍n‍‍ta `Alaynā Bi`az‍‍ī‍‍z‍‍in They said: “O Shu'aib! We do not comprehend much of what you say. In fact, we see that you are a powerless person among us. Were it not for your family, we certainly would have stoned you, for you are not strong enough to prevail against us."[11.91]قَالُوا يَا‌ شُعَيْبُ مَا‌ نَفْقَهُُكَثِير‌اً مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَق‍‍ُ‍ولُ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ لَنَر‍َ‍‌اكَ فِينَا‌ ضَعِيفاً ‌وَلَوْلاَ رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْن‍‍َاكَ ‌وَمَ‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ عَلَيْنَا‌ بِعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍ز‌‌ٍ
Q‍‍ā‍‍la Yā Qawmi 'Arahţ‍‍ī 'A`azzu `Alayku‍‍m Mina A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Wa A‍‍tta‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍tum‍‍ū‍‍h‍‍u War‍‍ā‍‍'aku‍‍m Žih‍‍r‍‍īyāan 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbī Bimā Ta`mal‍‍ū‍‍na Muĥīţ‍‍un He said: “O my people! Do you regard my family to be more powerful than Allah, that you have disregarded Him totally as a thing cast behind your back? Surely my Rabb encompasses all that you do.[11.92]ق‍‍َالَ يَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌أَ‌رَهْطِ‍‍ي ‌أَعَزُّ‌ عَلَيْكُ‍‍مْ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ ‌وَ‌اتَّخَذْتُم‍‍ُ‍وهُُ‌وَ‌رَ‌ا‌ءَكُمْ ظِهْ‍‍رِيّاً ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبِّي بِمَا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ مُح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ط‌‍ٌ
‌ Wa Yā Qawmi A‍‍`malū `Alá Makānatiku‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī `Āmilu‍‍n Sawfa Ta`lam‍‍ū‍‍na Ma‍‍n Ya't‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍bu‍‍n Yu‍‍kh‍‍z‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i Wa Man Huwa Kā‍‍dh‍‍ibu‍‍n Wa A‍‍rtaqib‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍ī Ma`aku‍‍m Raq‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍un O my people! You keep on doing your way, and I shall keep up mine: soon you will find out who receives the disgraceful punishment and who is a liar! Wait if you will; I too am waiting with you!”[11.93]‌وَيَا‌ قَوْمِ ‌اعْمَلُوا عَلَى‌ مَكَانَتِكُمْ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي عَامِلٌ سَوْفَ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَ‍‍نْ يَأْت‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍‌ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ يُخْز‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍ وَمَنْ هُوَ‌ كَ‍ا‌ذِبٌ ‌وَ‌ا‌رْتَقِبُ‍‍وا ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي مَعَكُمْ ‌رَق‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌‍ٌ
‌ Wa La‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍runā Najjaynā Sh‍‍u`aybāa‍‍n Wa A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na '‍‍Ā‍‍manū Ma`ah‍‍u Biraĥmati‍‍n Mi‍‍nn‍‍ā Wa 'A‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍ati A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalamū A‍‍ş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyā‍‍r‍‍ihi‍‍m Jā‍‍th‍‍im‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a When Our judgement came to pass, We delivered Shu'aib and those who believed with him through Our special mercy. A mighty blast seized the wrongdoers and they lay dead with their faces down in their homes by the morning,[11.94]‌وَلَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ نَجَّيْنَا‌ شُعَيْباً ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا مَعَهُُبِرَحْمَةٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍ا وَ‌أَخَذَتِ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي ‌دِيَا‌رِهِمْ جَاثِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Ka'a‍‍n La‍‍m Ya‍‍gh‍‍naw Fīh‍‍ā 'Alā Bu`dāa‍‍n Lima‍‍d‍‍yana Kamā Ba`ida‍‍t Th‍‍am‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍u as if they had never flourished there. Behold! Like Thamüd, gone are the people of Median![11.95]كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْ‌ا‌ فِيهَ‍ا أَلاَ‌ بُعْد‌اً لِمَ‍‍دْيَنَ كَمَا‌ بَعِدَتْ ثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دُ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d 'Arsalnā Mūsá Bi'‍‍ā‍‍yātinā Wa Sulţ‍‍ā‍‍ni‍‍n Mub‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍in We sent Musa with Our signs and clear authority[11.96]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ مُوسَى‌ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْط‍‍َانٍ مُب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نٍ
'Ilá Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna Wa Mala'ih‍‍i Fa A‍‍ttaba`‍‍ū 'A‍‍m‍‍ra Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna Wa M‍‍ā 'A‍‍m‍‍ru Fi‍‍r‍‍`awna Bira‍‍sh‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍in to Fir'on (Pharaoh) and his chiefs; but they followed the command of Fir'on, and the command of Fir'on was not right.[11.97]‌إِلَى‌ فِرْعَوْنَ ‌وَمَلَئِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَ‍اتَّبَعُ‍‍وا ‌أَمْرَ‌ فِرْعَوْنَ ‌وَمَ‍ا أَمْرُ‌ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَش‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍د‌ٍ
Ya‍‍q‍‍dumu Qawmah‍‍u Yawma A‍‍l-Qiyāmati Fa'awradahumu A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍ra Wa Bi'sa A‍‍l-Wi‍‍r‍‍du A‍‍l-Mawr‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍u He will be in front of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will bring them down to Hell. How awful will be the place to which they will be brought?[11.98]يَ‍‍قْ‍‍دُمُ قَوْمَهُُيَوْمَ ‌الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَ‌وْ‌رَ‌دَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رَ وَبِئْسَ ‌الْوِ‌رْ‌دُ‌ ‌الْمَوْ‌ر‍ُ‍‌و‌دُ
‌ Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Ha‍‍dh‍‍ih‍‍i La`nata‍‍n Wa Yawma A‍‍l-Qiyāmati Bi'sa A‍‍r-‍‍R‍‍ifdu A‍‍l-Marf‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍u A curse followed them in this life, and a curse will follow them on the Day of Resurrection. What an evil reward for one to receive.[11.99]‌وَ‌أُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِهِ‍ِ‍‌ لَعْنَةً ‌وَيَوْمَ ‌الْقِيَامَةِ بِئْسَ ‌ال‍‍رِّفْدُ‌ ‌الْمَرْف‍‍ُ‍و‌دُ
Dh‍‍ālika Min 'A‍n‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'i A‍‍l-Qurá Naquşşuh‍‍u `Alayka Minhā Q‍‍ā‍‍'imu‍‍n Wa Ĥaş‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍un These are the stories of the nations which We relate to you; of them some have survived and some have ceased to exist.[11.100]‌ذَلِكَ مِنْ ‌أَنْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌الْقُرَ‌ى‌ نَقُصُّهُُعَلَيْكَ مِنْهَا‌ قَائِمٌ ‌وَحَص‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ
‌ Wa Mā Žala‍‍m‍‍nāhu‍‍m Wa Laki‍‍n Žalam‍‍ū 'A‍‍n‍‍fusahu‍‍m Fam‍‍ā 'A‍‍gh‍‍nat `Anhu‍‍m '‍‍Ā‍‍lihatuhumu A‍‍llatī Ya‍‍d‍‍`‍‍ū‍‍na Mi‍‍n D‍‍ū‍‍ni A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Mi‍‍n Sh‍‍ay'i‍‍n La‍‍mm‍‍ā J‍‍ā‍‍'a 'A‍‍m‍‍ru Rabbika Wa Mā Zādūhu‍‍m Gh‍‍ayra Tatb‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍in We were not unjust to them, but they were unjust to themselves. The deities they invoked beside Allah did not avail them when the judgement of your Rabb came to pass; they added nothing to their lot but perdition.[11.101]‌وَمَا‌ ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍نْ ظَلَمُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسَهُمْ فَمَ‍ا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ ‌آلِهَتُهُمُ ‌الَّتِي يَ‍‍دْع‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ مِ‍‌‍نْ شَيْء‌ٍ لَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ‌وَمَا زَ‌ا‌دُ‌وهُمْ غَيْرَ‌ تَتْب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌ٍ
‌ Wa Ka‍‍dh‍‍alika 'A‍‍kh‍‍dh‍‍u Rabbika 'I‍‍dh‍‍ā 'A‍‍kh‍‍a‍‍dh‍‍a A‍‍l-Qurá Wa Hiya Žālimatun 'I‍‍nn‍‍a 'A‍‍kh‍‍dh‍‍ah‍‍u 'Al‍‍ī‍‍mu‍‍n Sh‍‍ad‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍un Such is the scourge of your Rabb when He seizes a sinful town; indeed, His seizure is terrible and painful.[11.102]‌وَكَذَلِكَ ‌أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا أَخَذَ ‌الْقُرَ‌ى وَهِيَ ظَالِ‍‍مَةٌ ‌إِنَّ ‌أَخْذَهُ‍‍~ُ ‌أَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ شَد‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ
'I‍‍nn‍‍a Fī Dh‍‍ālika La'‍‍ā‍‍yata‍‍n Liman Kh‍‍ā‍‍fa `A‍‍dh‍‍ā‍‍ba A‍‍l-'‍‍Ā‍‍kh‍‍irati Dh‍‍ālika Yawmu‍‍n Ma‍‍j‍‍m‍‍ū‍‍`u‍‍n Lahu A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍su Wa Dh‍‍alika Yawmu‍‍n Ma‍‍sh‍‍/h‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍un In fact, there is a sign in this for those who fear the punishment of the hereafter; that is a Day in which mankind will be gathered together and that will be a Day of Testimony.[11.103]‌إِنَّ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً لِمَنْ خ‍‍َافَ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ ‌الآخِرَةِ ‌ذَلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَ‍‍جْ‍‍م‍‍ُ‍وع ٌ لَهُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسُ ‌وَ‌ذَلِكَ يَوْمٌ مَشْه‍‍ُ‍و‌دٌ
‌ Wa Mā Nu'ua‍‍kh‍‍kh‍‍iruh‍‍u 'Illā Li'jali‍‍n Ma`d‍‍ū‍‍d‍‍in We do not delay it but to the appointed deadline.[11.104]‌وَمَا‌ نُؤَخِّرُهُ‍‍~ُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ لِأجَلٍ مَعْد‍ُ‍‌و‌د‌ٍ
Yawma Ya'ti Lā Takallamu Nafsun 'Illā Bi'i‍‍dh‍‍nih‍‍i Faminhu‍‍m Sh‍‍aq‍‍ī‍‍yu‍‍n Wa Sa`‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍un When the Day will come, no one shall dare to speak except with His permission. Of them, some will be damned and some will be blessed.[11.105]يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لاَ‌ تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِإِ‌ذْنِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِيٌّ ‌وَسَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ
Fa'a‍‍mm‍‍ā A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Sh‍‍aqū Fafī A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍i Lahu‍‍m Fīhā Zaf‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍u‍‍n Wa Sh‍‍ah‍‍ī‍‍q‍‍un Those who are damned shall be in the fire; in there, they will have only sighs and sobs.[11.106]فَأَمَّ‍ا‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ شَقُوا فَفِي ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ ‌وَشَه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍ق‌‍ٌ
Kh‍‍ālid‍‍ī‍‍na Fīhā Mā Dāmati A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍tu Wa A‍‍l-'Arđu 'Illā Mā Sh‍‍ā‍‍'a Rabbuka 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Rabbaka Fa``‍‍ā‍‍lu‍‍n Limā Yu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍d‍‍u They will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth shall last, unless your Rabb ordains otherwise; surely your Rabb is the mighty doer of what He intends.[11.107]خَالِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِيهَا‌ مَا دَ‌امَتِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتُ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَا‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ رَبُّكَ ‌إِنَّ ‌رَبَّكَ فَعّ‍‍َال ٌ لِمَا‌ يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ
‌ Wa 'A‍‍mm‍‍ā A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Su`idū Fafī A‍‍l-Ja‍‍nn‍‍ati Kh‍‍ālid‍‍ī‍‍na Fīhā Mā Dāmati A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍tu Wa A‍‍l-'Arđu 'Illā Mā Sh‍‍ā‍‍'a Rabbuka `Aţ‍‍ā‍‍'an Gh‍‍ayra Ma‍‍j‍‍dh‍‍ū‍‍dh‍‍in As for those who are blessed, they shall be in paradise. They will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth shall last, unless your Rabb ordain otherwise; an award which shall never be taken away.[11.108]‌وَ‌أَمَّ‍ا‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ سُعِدُ‌وا فَفِي ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ خَال‍ِ‍د‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِيهَا‌ مَا دَ‌امَتِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتُ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَا‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ رَبُّكَ عَط‍‍َا‌ءً‌ غَيْرَ‌ مَ‍‍جْ‍‍ذ‍ُ‍‌و‌ذ‌‌ٍ
Falā Taku Fī Mi‍‍r‍‍yati‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍ā Ya`budu H‍‍ā‍‍'uul‍‍ā‍‍' Mā Ya`bud‍‍ū‍‍na 'Illā Kamā Ya`budu '‍‍Ā‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'uuhu‍‍m Mi‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍lu Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Lamuwaffūhu‍‍m Naşībahu‍‍m Gh‍‍ayra Ma‍‍n‍‍qūş‍‍in Therefore, have no doubt concerning the deities they worship, for they blindly imitate the worship of those deities whom their forefathers used to worship before them; and surely, We shall give them their share of punishment in full without any abatement.[11.109]فَلاَ‌ تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ يَعْبُدُ‌ هَا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ مَا‌ يَعْبُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ كَمَا‌ يَعْبُدُ آبَا‌ؤُهُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‍‍ق‍‍ُ‍وصٍ
‌ Wa Laqa‍‍d '‍‍Ā‍‍taynā Mūsá A‍‍l-Kit‍‍ā‍‍ba Fā‍‍kh‍‍tulifa F‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i Wa Lawlā Kalimatu‍‍n Sabaqat Mi‍‍n Rabbika Laquđiya Baynahu‍‍m Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Lafī Sh‍‍akki‍‍n Minhu Mu‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍b‍‍in We certainly gave the Book to Musa (Moses), but differences arose about it; had not a Word gone forth from your Rabb, the matter would have been decided between them regarding those differences. It is a fact that they are in suspicious doubt about this,[11.110]‌وَلَقَ‍‍دْ آتَيْنَا‌ مُوسَى‌ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابَ فَ‍اخْتُلِفَ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍ وَلَوْلاَ‌ كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِ‍‍نْ ‌رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍ب‌ٍ
‌ Wa 'I‍‍nn‍‍a Kullā La‍‍mm‍‍ā Layuwaffiya‍‍nn‍‍ahu‍‍m Rabbuka 'A`mālahu‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Bimā Ya`mal‍‍ū‍‍na Kh‍‍ab‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍un and it is also a fact that your Rabb will give them full measure for their deeds, for He is fully aware of what they do.[11.111]‌وَ‌إِنَّ كُلاَّ‌ لَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ لَيُوَفِّيَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌رَبُّكَ ‌أَعْمَالَهُمْ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُُبِمَا‌ يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ خَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ
Fāstaqi‍‍m Kam‍‍ā 'Umi‍‍r‍‍ta Wa Ma‍‍n T‍‍ā‍‍ba Ma`aka Wa Lā Ta‍‍ţ‍‍gh‍‍aw 'I‍‍nn‍‍ah‍‍u Bimā Ta`mal‍‍ū‍‍na Baş‍‍ī‍‍r‍‍un Therefore, stand firm on the Right Way as you are commanded, together with those who have turned from unbelief to belief in Allah, and do not transgress; surely, He is watching all that you do.[11.112]فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَ‍ا أُمِرْتَ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍نْ ت‍‍َابَ مَعَكَ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍طْ‍‍غَوْ‌ا إِنَّ‍‍هُُبِمَا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ بَص‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ
‌ Wa Lā Tarkan‍‍ū 'Ilá A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalamū Fatamassakumu A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍ru Wa Mā Laku‍‍m Mi‍‍n D‍‍ū‍‍ni A‍‍l-Lah‍‍i Min 'Awliy‍‍ā‍‍'a Th‍‍u‍‍mm‍‍a Lā Tu‍‍n‍‍şar‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Do not be inclined to those who are unjust, lest you be seized by the fire; and you will not have any protector besides Allah, nor you shall be helped.[11.113]‌وَلاَ‌ تَرْكَنُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ وَمَا‌ لَكُ‍‍مْ مِ‍‌‍نْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌ال‍‍لَّهِ مِنْ ‌أَ‌وْلِي‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ ثُ‍‍مَّ لاَ‌ تُ‍‌‍ن‍‍صَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa 'Aqimi A‍‍ş-Şalāata Ţarafayi A‍‍n‍‍-Nah‍‍ā‍‍r‍‍i Wa Zulafāa‍‍n Mina A‍‍l-Layli 'I‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-Ĥasan‍‍ā‍‍ti Yu‍‍dh‍‍/hi‍‍b‍‍na A‍‍s-Sayyi'‍‍ā‍‍ti Dh‍‍ālika Dh‍‍ikrá Lil‍‍dh‍‍dh‍‍āki‍‍r‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Establish Salah ( prayers) at the two ends of the day and in the early part of the night. Indeed virtues remove evils. This is a reminder for the mindful.[11.114]‌وَ‌أَقِمِ ‌ال‍‍صَّلاَةَ طَرَفَيِ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ه‍‍َا‌رِ ‌وَ‌زُلَفاً مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّيْلِ ‌إِنَّ ‌الْحَسَن‍‍َاتِ يُذْهِ‍‍بْ‍‍نَ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتِ ‌ذَلِكَ ‌ذِكْرَ‌ى‌ لِلذَّ‌اكِ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa A‍‍şbir Fa'i‍‍nn‍‍a A‍‍l-Laha Lā Yuđ‍‍ī‍‍`u 'A‍‍j‍‍ra A‍‍l-Muĥsin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Be patient; for sure Allah does not let the reward of the righteous be wasted.[11.115]‌وَ‌اصْبِرْ‌ فَإِنَّ ‌ال‍‍لَّهَ لاَ‌ يُض‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍عُ ‌أَجْ‍‍رَ ‌الْمُحْسِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
Falawlā K‍‍ā‍‍na Mina A‍‍l-Qur‍‍ū‍‍ni Mi‍‍n Qa‍‍b‍‍liku‍‍m '‍‍Ū‍‍lū Baqīyati‍‍n Yanhawna `Ani A‍‍l-Fas‍‍ā‍‍di Fī A‍‍l-'Arđi 'Illā Qalīlāa‍‍n Mi‍‍mm‍‍an 'A‍‍n‍‍jaynā Minhu‍‍m Wa A‍‍ttaba`a A‍‍l-La‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Žalamū M‍‍ā 'Ut‍‍r‍‍ifū F‍‍ī‍‍h‍‍i Wa Kānū Mu‍‍j‍‍r‍‍im‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a Why were there not among the generations before you, good persons who could forbid the people from making mischief in the land, except a few of those whom We delivered from among them? The wrongdoers, however, pursued the worldly pleasure they were provided, and became confirmed criminals.[11.116]فَلَوْلاَ‌ ك‍‍َانَ مِنَ ‌الْقُر‍ُ‍‌ونِ مِ‍‌‍نْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِكُمْ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلُوا بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ‌الْفَس‍‍َا‌دِ‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ قَلِيلاً مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍نْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍جَيْنَا‌ مِنْهُمْ ‌وَ‌اتَّبَعَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَلَمُوا مَ‍ا أُتْ‍‍رِفُوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ‍ِ‍ وَكَانُوا مُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Mā K‍‍ā‍‍na Rabbuka Liyuhlika A‍‍l-Qurá Bižulmi‍‍n Wa 'Ahluhā Muşliĥ‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a It is not possible that your Rabb would destroy the towns unjustly while their habitants were to mend their ways.[11.117]‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ ‌الْقُرَ‌ى‌ بِظُلْمٍ ‌وَ‌أَهْلُهَا‌ مُصْلِح‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa Law Sh‍‍ā‍‍'a Rabbuka Laja`ala A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍sa 'U‍‍mm‍‍ata‍‍n Wāĥidata‍‍n Wa Lā Yazāl‍‍ū‍‍na Mu‍‍kh‍‍talif‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a If your Rabb had so willed, He would have certainly made mankind one single nation but that is not what He wants, so they will continue to differ[11.118]‌وَلَوْ‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسَ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةً ‌وَ‌احِدَةً ‌وَلاَ‌ يَزَ‌ال‍‍ُ‍ونَ مُخْتَلِف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
'Illā Ma‍‍n Raĥima Rabbuka Wa Li‍‍dh‍‍alika Kh‍‍alaqahu‍‍m Wa Ta‍‍mm‍‍at Kalimatu Rabbika La'a‍‍m‍‍la'a‍‍nn‍‍a Jaha‍‍nn‍‍ama Mina A‍‍l-Ji‍‍nn‍‍ati Wa A‍‍n‍‍-N‍‍ā‍‍si 'A‍‍j‍‍ma`‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a except those on whom He has bestowed His mercy; and that very freedom of choice and action is the whole purpose of their creation. That is how the Word of your Rabb, that He will fill Hell with jinns and human beings all together, will be fulfilled.[11.119]‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‍نْ ‌رَحِمَ ‌رَبُّكَ ‌وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ ‌وَتَ‍‍مَّ‍‍تْ كَلِمَةُ ‌رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَ‍‍نَّ‍‍مَ مِنَ ‌الْجِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَع‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Kullāa‍‍n Naquşşu `Alayka Min 'A‍n‍‍b‍‍ā‍‍'i A‍‍r-Rusuli Mā Nu‍‍th‍‍abbitu Bih‍‍i Fu'uādaka Wa J‍‍ā‍‍'aka Fī Ha‍‍dh‍‍ihi A‍‍l-Ĥaqqu Wa Maw`ižatu‍‍n Wa Dh‍‍ikrá Lilmu'umin‍‍ī‍‍n‍‍a All these stories of the prior Rasools that We relate to you (O Muhammad) are to strengthen your heart therewith; through these you have received the knowledge of reality and the believers have gotten admonition and a reminder. [11.120]‌وَكُلاًّ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ ‌أَنْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌ال‍‍رُّسُلِ مَا‌ نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ‍ِ‍‌ فُؤ‍َ‍‌ا‌دَكَ ‌وَجَا‌ءَكَ فِي هَذِهِ ‌الْحَقُّ ‌وَمَوْعِظَةٌ ‌وَ‌ذِكْرَ‌ى‌ لِلْمُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ
‌ Wa Qu‍‍l Lilla‍‍dh‍‍ī‍‍na Lā Yu'umin‍‍ū‍‍na A‍‍`malū `Alá Makānatiku‍‍m 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā `Āmil‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a As for those who are unbelievers, say to them: “Do whatever you want, and so shall we.[11.121]‌وَقُ‍‍لْ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌اعْمَلُوا عَلَى‌ مَكَانَتِكُمْ ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ عَامِل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
‌ Wa A‍‍n‍‍tažir‍‍ū 'I‍‍nn‍‍ā Mu‍‍n‍‍tažir‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Wait if you will! Surely, we too shall wait."[11.122]‌وَ‌ا‌ن‍‍تَظِرُ‌وا ‌إِنَّ‍ا‌ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَظِر‍ُ‍‌ونَ
‌ Wa Lillahi Gh‍‍aybu A‍‍s-Samāw‍‍ā‍‍ti Wa A‍‍l-'Arđi Wa 'Ilayhi Yurja`u A‍‍l-'A‍‍m‍‍ru Kulluhu Fā`bu‍‍d‍‍/hu Wa Tawakkal `Alayhi Wa Mā Rabbuka Bi‍‍gh‍‍āfilin `A‍‍mm‍‍ā Ta`mal‍‍ū‍‍n‍‍a Allah Alone has the knowledge of what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and everything shall ultimately return to Him for decision; Therefore, worship Him and put your trust in Him, and your Rabb is not unmindful of what you do.[11.123]‌وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَ‌إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُ ‌الأَمْرُ‌ كُلُّهُُفَ‍اعْبُ‍‍دْهُ ‌وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ ‌وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَ‍‍مَّ‍ا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ
