| Qul 'Ūĥiya 'Ilayya 'Annahu Astama`a Nafarun Mina Al-Jinni Faqālū 'Innā Sami`nā Qur'ānāan `Ajabāan | Verily, We sent Nûh (Noah) to his people (Saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful torment." (Nuh 71:1) |
| Yahdī 'Ilá Ar-Rushdi Fa'āmannā Bihi Wa Lan Nushrika Birabbinā 'Aĥadāan | He said: "O my people! Verily, I am a plain warner to you, (Nuh 71:2) |
| Wa 'Annahu Ta`ālá Jaddu Rabbinā Mā Attakhadha Şāĥibatan Wa Lā Waladāan | "That you should worship Allāh (Alone), be dutiful to Him, and obey me, (Nuh 71:3) |
| Wa 'Annahu Kāna Yaqūlu Safīhunā `Alá Al-Lahi Shaţaţāan | "He (Allāh) will forgive you of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Verily, the term of Allāh when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew." (Nuh 71:4) |
| Wa 'Annā Žanannā 'An Lan Taqūla Al-'Insu Wa Al-Jinnu `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan | He said: "O my Lord! Verily, I have called my people night and day (i.e. secretly and openly to accept the doctrine of Islāmic Monotheism), (Nuh 71:5) |
| Wa 'Annahu Kāna Rijālun Mina Al-'Insi Ya`ūdhūna Birijālin Mina Al-Jinni Fazādūhum Rahaqāan | "But all my calling added nothing but to (their) flight (from the truth). (Nuh 71:6) |
| Wa 'Annahum Žannū Kamā Žanantum 'An Lan Yab`atha Al-Lahu 'Aĥadāan | "And verily! Every time I called unto them that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, and persisted (in their refusal), and magnified themselves in pride. (Nuh 71:7) |
| Wa 'Annā Lamasnā As-Samā'a Fawajadnāhā Muli'at Ĥarasāan Shadīdāan Wa Shuhubāan | "Then verily, I called to them openly (aloud); (Nuh 71:8) |
| Wa 'Annā Kunnā Naq`udu Minhā Maqā`ida Lilssam`i Faman Yastami`i Al-'Āna Yajid Lahu Shihābāan Raşadāan | "Then verily, I proclaimed to them in public, and I have appealed to them in private, (Nuh 71:9) |
| Wa 'Annā Lā Nadrī 'Asharrun 'Urīda Biman Fī Al-'Arđi 'Am 'Arāda Bihim Rabbuhum Rashadāan | "I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; (Nuh 71:10) |
| Wa 'Annā Minnā Aş-Şāliĥūna Wa Minnā Dūna Dhālika Kunnā Ţarā'iqa Qidadāan | 'He will send rain to you in abundance; (Nuh 71:11) |
| Wa 'Annā Žanannā 'An Lan Nu`jiza Al-Laha Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Lan Nu`jizahu Harabāan | 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.' " (Nuh 71:12) |
| Wa 'Annā Lammā Sami`nā Al-Hudá 'Āmannā Bihi Faman Yu'umin Birabbihi Falā Yakhāfu Bakhsāan Wa Lā Rahaqāan | What is the matter with you, [that you fear not Allāh (His punishment), and] you hope not for reward (from Allāh or you believe not in His Oneness). (Nuh 71:13) |
| Wa 'Annā Minnā Al-Muslimūna Wa Minnā Al-Qāsiţūna Faman 'Aslama Fa'ūlā'ika Taĥarraw Rashadāan | While He has created you in (different) stages [i.e. first Nutfah, then 'Alaqah and then Mudghah, see (VV.23:13,14) the Qur'ān]. (Nuh 71:14) |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Qāsiţūna Fakānū Lijahannama Ĥaţabāan | See you not how Allāh has created the seven heavens one above another, (Nuh 71:15) |
| Wa 'Allawi Astaqāmū `Alá Aţ-Ţarīqati L'asqaynāhum Mā'an Ghadaqāan | And has made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? (Nuh 71:16) |
| Linaftinahum Fīhi Wa Man Yu`riđ `An Dhikri Rabbihi Yasluk/hu `Adhābāan Şa`adāan | And Allāh has brought you forth from the (dust of) earth. [Tafsir At-Tabarī, Vol.29, Page 97]. (Nuh 71:17) |
| Wa 'Anna Al-Masājida Lillahi Falā Tad`ū Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Aĥadāan | Afterwards He will return you into it (the earth), and bring you forth (again on the Day of Resurrection)? (Nuh 71:18) |
| Wa 'Annahu Lammā Qāma `Abdu Al-Lahi Yad`ūhu Kādū Yakūnūna `Alayhi Libadāan | And Allāh has made for you the earth wide spread (an expanse). (Nuh 71:19) |
| Qul 'Innamā 'Ad`ū Rabbī Wa Lā 'Ushriku Bihi 'Aĥadāan | That you may go about therein in broad roads. (Nuh 71:20) |
| Qul 'Innī Lā 'Amliku Lakum Đarrāan Wa Lā Rashadāan | Nûh (Noah) said: "My Lord! They have disobeyed me, and followed one whose wealth and children give him no increase but only loss. (Nuh 71:21) |
| Qul 'Innī Lan Yujīranī Mina Al-Lahi 'Aĥadun Wa Lan 'Ajida Min Dūnihi Multaĥadāan | "And they have plotted a mighty plot. (Nuh 71:22) |
| 'Illā Balāghāan Mina Al-Lahi Wa Risālātihi Wa Man Ya`şi Al-Laha Wa Rasūlahu Fa'inna Lahu Nāra Jahannama Khālidīna Fīhā 'Abadāan | "And they have said: 'You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwā', nor Yaghûth, nor Ya'ûq, nor Nasr (names of the idols); (Nuh 71:23) |
| Ĥattá 'Idhā Ra'aw Mā Yū`adūna Fasaya`lamūna Man 'Ađ`afu Nāşirāan Wa 'Aqallu `Adadāan | "And indeed they have led many astray. And (O Allāh): 'Grant no increase to the Zālimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, and disbelievers, etc.) save error.' " (Nuh 71:24) |
| Qul 'In 'Adrī 'Aqarībun Mā Tū`adūna 'Am Yaj`alu Lahu Rabbī 'Amadāan | Because of their sins they were drowned, then were made to enter the Fire, and they found none to help them instead of Allāh. (Nuh 71:25) |
| `Ālimu Al-Ghaybi Falā Yužhiru `Alá Ghaybihi 'Aĥadāan | And Nûh (Noah) said: "My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers on the earth! (Nuh 71:26) |
| 'Illā Mani Artađá Min Rasūlin Fa'innahu Yasluku Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Min Khalfihi Raşadāan | "If You leave them, they will mislead Your slaves, and they will beget none but wicked disbelievers." (Nuh 71:27) |
| Liya`lama 'An Qad 'Ablaghū Risālāti Rabbihim Wa 'Aĥāţa Bimā Ladayhim Wa 'Aĥşá Kulla Shay'in `Adadāan | "My Lord! Forgive me, and my parents, and him who enters my home as a believer, and all the believing men and women. And to the Zālimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, and disbelievers, etc.) grant You no increase but destruction!" (Nuh 71:28) |
