Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Muddaththiru (Al-Muddaththir: 1). 074.001 O thou enveloped in thy cloak, ‌‌
Qum Fa'andhir (Al-Muddaththir: 2). 074.002 Arise and warn! ‍ ‌‌‍‍‍
Wa Rabbaka Fakabbir (Al-Muddaththir: 3). 074.003 Thy Lord magnify, ‌‍‍‍
Wa Thiyābaka Faţahhir (Al-Muddaththir: 4). 074.004 Thy raiment purify, ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Ar-Rujza Fāhjur (Al-Muddaththir: 5). 074.005 Pollution shun! ‍‌ ‍‍‍
Wa Lā Tamnun Tastakthiru (Al-Muddaththir: 6). 074.006 And show not favour, seeking wordly gain! ‌ ‍‌
Wa Lirabbika Fāşbir (Al-Muddaththir: 7). 074.007 For the sake of thy Lord, be patient! ‍‍‍ ‍‍
Fa'idhā Nuqira An-Nāqūri (Al-Muddaththir: 8). 074.008 For when the trumpet shall sound, ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍
Fadhālika Yawma'idhin Yawmun `Asīrun (Al-Muddaththir: 9). 074.009 Surely that day will be a day of anguish,
`Alá Al-Kāfirīna Ghayru Yasīrin (Al-Muddaththir: 10). 074.010 Not of ease, for disbelievers. ‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Dharnī Wa Man Khalaqtu Waĥīdāan (Al-Muddaththir: 11). 074.011 Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely, ‌ ‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
Wa Ja`altu Lahu Mālāan Mamdūdāan (Al-Muddaththir: 12). 074.012 And then bestowed upon him ample means, ‌‌‌
Wa Banīna Shuhūdāan (Al-Muddaththir: 13). 074.013 And sons abiding in his presence ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
Wa Mahhadtu Lahu Tamhīdāan (Al-Muddaththir: 14). 074.014 And made (life) smooth for him.
Thumma Yaţma`u 'An 'Azīda (Al-Muddaththir: 15). 074.015 Yet he desireth that I should give more. ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‌‌
Kallā ۖ 'Innahu Kāna Li'y7tinā `Anīdāan (Al-Muddaththir: 16). 074.016 Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations. ۖ‍ ‍ ‌ ‌
Sa'urhiquhu Şa`ūdāan (Al-Muddaththir: 17). 074.017 On him I shall impose a fearful doom. ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌
'Innahu Fakkara Wa Qaddara (Al-Muddaththir: 18). 074.018 For lo! he did consider; then he planned - ‍ ‍‍‍ ‍‌‍
Faqutila Kayfa Qaddara (Al-Muddaththir: 19). 074.019 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‌‍
Thumma Qutila Kayfa Qaddara (Al-Muddaththir: 20). 074.020 Again (self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! - ‍ ‍‍‍‍‌‍
Thumma Nažara (Al-Muddaththir: 21). 074.021 Then looked he, ‍ ‍‍‍‍‍
Thumma `Abasa Wa Basara (Al-Muddaththir: 22). 074.022 Then frowned he and showed displeasure. ‍ ‌‍‍‍
Thumma 'Adbara Wa Astakbara (Al-Muddaththir: 23). 074.023 Then turned he away in pride ‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍
Faqāla 'In Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Yu'utharu (Al-Muddaththir: 24). 074.024 And said: This is naught else than magic from of old; ‍‍ ‌‌
'In Hādhā 'Illā Qawlu Al-Bashari (Al-Muddaththir: 25). 074.025 This is naught else than speech of mortal man.
Sa'uşlīhi Saqara (Al-Muddaththir: 26). 074.026 Him shall I fling unto the burning. ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Saqaru (Al-Muddaththir: 27). 074.027 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - ‌‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Lā Tubqī Wa Lā Tadharu (Al-Muddaththir: 28). 074.028 It leaveth naught; it spareth naught ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌
Lawwāĥatun Lilbashari (Al-Muddaththir: 29). 074.029 It shrivelleth the man.
`Alayhā Tis`ata `Ashara (Al-Muddaththir: 30). 074.030 Above it are nineteen. ‌ ‍‍‍
Wa Mā Ja`alnā 'Aşĥāba An-Nāri 'Illā Malā'ikatan ۙ Wa Mā Ja`alnā `Iddatahum 'Illā Fitnatan Lilladhīna Kafarū Liyastayqina Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Wa Yazdāda Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Īmānāan ۙ Wa Lā Yartāba Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Mu'uminūna ۙ Wa Liyaqūla Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim Marađun Wa Al-Kāfirūna Mādhā 'Arāda Allāhu Bihadhā Mathalāan ۚ Kadhālika Yuđillu Allāhu Man Yashā'u Wa Yahdī Man Yashā'u ۚ Wa Mā Ya`lamu Junūda Rabbika 'Illā Huwa ۚ Wa Mā Hiya 'Illā Dhikrá Lilbashari (Al-Muddaththir: 31). 074.031 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude ? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. ‌ ‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍ ‌‌ ۙ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍ ‌‌‍‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ۙ ‌‌ ‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍ ‍‍ ۙ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‌ ‍ ‌‌ ۚ‍‍‍ ‍‌‌ ‍‌ ‍‌‌ ‍‌‌ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍ ‌‌ ۚ ‌‌ ‌ ‍‌‌ ‍
Kallā Wa Al-Qamari (Al-Muddaththir: 32). 074.032 Nay, by the Moon ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Al-Layli 'Idh 'Adbara (Al-Muddaththir: 33). 074.033 And the night when it withdraweth ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍
Wa Aş-Şubĥi 'Idhā 'Asfara (Al-Muddaththir: 34). 074.034 And the dawn when it shineth forth, ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
'Innahā La'iĥdá Al-Kubari (Al-Muddaththir: 35). 074.035 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) ‍‌ ‌‌ ‍‍
Nadhīan Lilbashari (Al-Muddaththir: 36). 074.036 As a warning unto men,
Liman Shā'a Minkum 'An Yataqaddama 'Aw Yata'akhkhara (Al-Muddaththir: 37). 074.037 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. ‍‌‌ ‍‌‌ ‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍
Kullu Nafsin Bimā Kasabat Rahīnahun (Al-Muddaththir: 38). 074.038 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; ‌ ‌‍‍‍
'Illā 'Aşĥāba Al-Yamīni (Al-Muddaththir: 39). 074.039 Save those who will stand on the right hand. ‍‍‍‍
Fī Jannātin Yatasā'alūna (Al-Muddaththir: 40). 074.040 In gardens they will ask one another ‍‍
`Ani Al-Mujrimīna (Al-Muddaththir: 41). 074.041 Concerning the guilty: ‍‍
Mā Salakakum Fī Saqara (Al-Muddaththir: 42). 074.042 What hath brought you to this burning ? ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Qālū Lam Naku Mina Al-Muşallīna (Al-Muddaththir: 43). 074.043 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed ‍‍
Wa Lam Naku Nuţ`imu Al-Miskīna (Al-Muddaththir: 44). 074.044 Nor did we feed the wretched. ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Kunnā Nakhūđu Ma`a Al-Khā'iđīna (Al-Muddaththir: 45). 074.045 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍
Wa Kunnā Nukadhdhibu Biyawmi Ad-Dīni (Al-Muddaththir: 46). 074.046 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, ‍‍‍‌ ‍
Ĥattá 'Atānā Al-Yaqīnu (Al-Muddaththir: 47). 074.047 Till the Inevitable came unto us. ‍‍‍‍‍
Famā Tanfa`uhum Shafā`atu Ash-Shāfi`īna (Al-Muddaththir: 48). 074.048 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. ‌ ‍‌‍‍
Famā Lahum `Ani At-Tadhkirati Mu`rīna (Al-Muddaththir: 49). 074.049 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, ‍‍‍‍‍‍
Ka'annahum Ĥumurun Mustanfirahun (Al-Muddaththir: 50). 074.050 As they were frightened asses ‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍
Farrat Min Qaswarahin (Al-Muddaththir: 51). 074.051 Fleeing from a lion ? ‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‌‍
Bal Yurīdu Kullu Amri'in Minhum 'An Yu'utá Şuĥufāan Munashsharahan (Al-Muddaththir: 52). 074.052 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‌
Kallā ۖ Bal Lā Yakhāfūna Al-'Ākhiraha (Al-Muddaththir: 53). 074.053 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. ۖ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍
Kallā 'Innahu Tadhkirahun (Al-Muddaththir: 54). 074.054 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. ‍ ‍‍‍
Faman Shā'a Dhakarahu (Al-Muddaththir: 55). 074.055 So whosoever will may heed. ‍‌‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‍
Wa Mā Yadhkurūna 'Illā 'An Yashā'a Allāhu ۚ Huwa 'Ahlu At-Taqwá Wa 'Ahlu Al-Maghfirahi (Al-Muddaththir: 56). 074.056 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. ‍‍‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‍ۚ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍
