'Idhā As-Samā'u Anshaqqat (Al-'Inshiqāq: 1).

When the sky is ruptured.

إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انشَقَّتْ |
| Wa 'Adhinat Lirabbihā Wa Ĥuqqat (Al-'Inshiqāq: 2).
|
And hearkens to its Lord, as it must.
084002 |
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā Al-'Arđu Muddat (Al-'Inshiqāq: 3).
|
And when the earth is leveled out.
084003 |
وَإِذَا الأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ |
| Wa 'Alqat Mā Fīhā Wa Takhallat (Al-'Inshiqāq: 4).
|
And casts out what is in it, and becomes empty.
084004 |
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ |
| Wa 'Adhinat Lirabbihā Wa Ĥuqqat (Al-'Inshiqāq: 5).
|
And hearkens to its Lord, as it must.
084005 |
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-'Insānu 'Innaka Kādiĥun 'Ilá Rabbika Kadĥāan Famulāqīhi (Al-'Inshiqāq: 6).
|
O man! You are laboring towards your Lord, and you will meet Him.
084006 |
يَاأَيُّهَا الإِنسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَدْحاً فَمُلاَقِيهِ |
| Fa'ammā Man 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi (Al-'Inshiqāq: 7).
|
As for him who is given his book in his right hand.
084007 |
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ |
| Fasawfa Yuĥāsabu Ĥisābāan Yasīrāan (Al-'Inshiqāq: 8).
|
He will have an easy settlement.
084008 |
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَاباً يَسِيراً |
| Wa Yanqalibu 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Masrūrāan (Al-'Inshiqāq: 9).
|
And will return to his family delighted.
084009 |
وَيَنقَلِبُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُوراً |
| Wa 'Ammā Man 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Warā'a Žahrihi (Al-'Inshiqāq: 10).
|
But as for him who is given his book behind his back.
084010 |
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ |
| Fasawfa Yad`ū Thubūrāan (Al-'Inshiqāq: 11).
|
He will call for death.
084011 |
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُو ثُبُوراً |
| Wa Yaşlá Sa`īrāan (Al-'Inshiqāq: 12).
|
And will enter the Blaze.
084012 |
وَيَصْلَى سَعِيراً |
| 'Innahu Kāna Fī 'Ahlihi Masrūrāan (Al-'Inshiqāq: 13).
|
He used to be happy among his family.
084013 |
إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُوراً |
| 'Innahu Žanna 'An Lan Yaĥūra (Al-'Inshiqāq: 14).
|
He thought he would never return.
084014 |
إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَنْ لَنْ يَحُورَ |
| Balá 'Inna Rabbahu Kāna Bihi Başīrāan (Al-'Inshiqāq: 15).
|
In fact, his Lord was watching him.
084015 |
بَلَى إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيراً |
| Falā 'Uqsimu Bish-Shafaqi (Al-'Inshiqāq: 16).
|
I swear by the twilight.
084016 |
فَلاَ أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ |
| Wa Al-Layli Wa Mā Wasaqa (Al-'Inshiqāq: 17).
|
And by the night, and what it covers.
084017 |
وَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ |
| Wa Al-Qamari 'Idhā Attasaqa (Al-'Inshiqāq: 18).
|
And by the moon, as it grows full.
084018 |
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ |
| Latarkabunna Ţabaqāan `An Ţabaqin (Al-'Inshiqāq: 19).
|
You will mount stage by stage.
084019 |
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقاً عَنْ طَبَقٍ |
| Famā Lahum Lā Yu'uminūna (Al-'Inshiqāq: 20).
|
What is the matter with them that they do not believe?
084020 |
فَمَا لَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Quri'a `Alayhimu Al-Qur'ānu Lā Yasjudūna (Al-'Inshiqāq: 21).
|
And when the Quran is read to them, they do not bow down?
084021 |
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لاَ يَسْجُدُونَ |
| Bali Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Yukadhdhibūna (Al-'Inshiqāq: 22).
|
In fact, those who disbelieve are in denial.
084022 |
بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Wa Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Yū`ūna (Al-'Inshiqāq: 23).
|
But God knows what they hide inside.
084023 |
وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ |
| Fabashshirhum Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin (Al-'Inshiqāq: 24).
|
So inform them of a painful punishment.
084024 |
فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ |
| 'Illā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lahum 'Ajrun Ghayru Mamnūnin (Al-'Inshiqāq: 25).
|
Except those who believe and do good deeds; they will have an undiminished reward.

إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ |
